Poland Festival 2024: Celebrating Five Years of Cultural and Economic Collaboration in ASEAN
The 5th edition of the Poland Festival, organized by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) in Jakarta, has returned as a major event to celebrate Polish culture, business, and innovation in Indonesia. As the largest Polish cultural and trade festival in ASEAN, it aims to strengthen the ties between Poland and Indonesia through a dynamic array of programs spanning technology, education, and industry.
Since its inception five years ago, Poland Festival 2024 has attracted over 500,000 participants, establishing itself as one of the largest EU-led initiatives in Indonesia. This year’s festival features a diverse array of activities, inviting stakeholders from government to the general public to foster deeper understanding and partnerships.
“This festival embodies the strong commitment between Poland and Indonesia to deepen cultural and economic bonds,” said Jacek Kolomyjec, Head of PAIH Jakarta. “We’re excited to see how this platform empowers both countries to grow and gain mutual understanding in significant ways.”

Strengthening Sustainable Partnerships
Since its launch by PAIH in 2019, Poland Festival has become a vital platform for strengthening Polish-Indonesian relations. The festival has bolstered the presence of Polish FMCG brands in Indonesia by fivefold and facilitated educational exchanges, with an increasing number of Indonesian students studying in Poland on scholarships.
“Poland Festival is more than just an exhibition—it is a strategic initiative for building sustainable partnerships that bring real benefits to both countries,” added Cezary Filipek, PAIH Jakarta Manager. “We are committed to strengthening business ties and laying the groundwork for mutual growth through comprehensive strategic planning and sharing Poland’s success stories in economic transformation and innovative tech solutions.”
Looking ahead, Poland’s upcoming presidency of the European Union in 2025 and the 70th anniversary of Polish-Indonesian diplomatic relations will further enhance cooperation in strategic fields like green development, agriculture, creative industries, sustainable transport, and electromobility. Poland Festival remains a leading driver of deeper collaboration and shared prosperity.
