As part of the Poland Festival campaign, the Poland–Indonesia Friendship Walk made its return during Car Free Day on 16 November 2025, drawing hundreds of enthusiastic participants—both locals and expatriates. The event symbolized friendship, collaboration, and cultural exchange between Poland and Indonesia. Beginning at Bundaran HI, at the Poland Festival 2025 gazebo area, attendees embarked on a five-kilometer route leading to Grand Lucky SCBD, where the official launch of Poland Shopping Day 2025 took place, offering a curated selection of Polish products at special promotional prices.

Organized under Poland Festival ASEAN 2025 by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) in collaboration with the Embassy of Poland in Jakarta, Grand Lucky, and Hokky Group, the initiative marked a meaningful milestone in strengthening cultural and economic ties between the two nations.

Celebrating Community and Cultural Exchange

The Poland–Indonesia Friendship Walk fostered meaningful interaction through an inclusive outdoor activity that united people from various backgrounds. Families, students, and representatives from the business and cultural sectors joined the walk, reflecting shared values of togetherness and an active lifestyle that resonate with both Poland and Indonesia.

Upon completing the route, participants gathered at Grand Lucky SCBD for the opening of Poland Shopping Day 2025. The program featured cultural performances, product showcases, and culinary experiences that introduced Indonesian audiences to Polish food and lifestyle goods. These activities highlighted the importance of innovative cultural exchange and mutual learning, while also supporting commercial promotion and expanding awareness of Polish products in the Indonesian market.

Expanding Collaboration Across Indonesian Cities

This year’s Poland Shopping Day expanded beyond Jakarta, taking place across three major Indonesian cities, demonstrating Poland’s continued cooperation with Indonesia’s modern retail sector and its dynamic consumer landscape.

The opening events were held as follows:

Jakarta – 16 November 2025 at Grand Lucky SCBD
Bali – 21 November 2025 at Grand Lucky Sanur
Surabaya – 22 November 2025 at Hokky Citraland

Throughout the program period, participating stores will feature dedicated Poland Shopping Day corners that include cooking demonstrations, cultural presentations, product sampling, and exclusive discounts. The initiative also includes the Poland Shopping Day Awards, recognizing outstanding retail partners for their dedication to quality, innovation, and excellence in promoting international products.

Poland Festival ASEAN 2025: A Platform for Cultural Diplomacy and Innovation
The Poland–Indonesia Friendship Walk and Poland Shopping Day are integral components of Poland Festival ASEAN 2025, a regional initiative dedicated to advancing cultural diplomacy, education, and innovation across Southeast Asia.

“By hosting events like this, we bring communities closer together—not only by opening profitable business opportunities but also through shared everyday experiences,” said Cezary Filipek, Head of Office, Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH).

“The Friendship Walk and Shopping Day reflect how collaboration can evolve from simple, joyful activities that build long-lasting bridges between nations.”
