From dazzling concert halls to the heart of China’s martial arts scene, Krisdayanti, one of Indonesia’s most celebrated divas, is preparing for a new kind of spotlight. The powerhouse singer is set to make a special appearance at the World Kungfu Championships 2025, which will be held in China from October 14 to 20.

While her name is usually synonymous with music, this time, Krisdayanti will lend her star power to an event that celebrates tradition, discipline, and the art of movement — the very essence of wushu.

The World Kungfu Championships, organized by the International Wushu Federation (IWUF), is an international festival that celebrates the beauty of traditional martial arts. It focuses on taolu, a category that highlights technical mastery, precision, and artistic flow through choreographed combat movements. In taolu, athletes are judged on how well they perform sequences of martial techniques, blending strength and grace into one performance.

Unlike the more competitive world wushu tournaments that emphasize medals and rankings, the World Kungfu Championships is a more inclusive event — a grand gathering of martial artists of all ages and backgrounds. Since its first edition in 2004, it has been hosted exclusively in China and has grown into a global meeting ground for wushu enthusiasts.

This year’s championship will feature six age categories, ranging from under 11 years old to 60 and above, making it one of the most diverse martial arts events in the world. More than just a competition, it serves as a celebration of global friendship, culture, and heritage through the spirit of kungfu.

For Indonesia, Krisdayanti’s presence represents more than a guest appearance — it’s a symbol of national pride and cultural connection. As one of the country’s most influential artists, her participation adds a touch of glamour and unity, reminding the world that art — whether through music or movement — has no boundaries.

As the world gathers in China this October, Krisdayanti is set to show that Indonesia’s artistry shines not only in melody but also in the rhythm of motion and tradition.
