The Jakarta Muslim Fashion Week (JMFW) 2025 officially concluded on Saturday, October 12, 2024, with potential business transactions totaling USD 20.4 million, far exceeding the initial target of USD 3 million. Mardyana Listyowati, Director General of National Export Development (Dirjen PEN), expressed gratitude during the event’s closing ceremony, praising the remarkable achievement.

“Alhamdulillah, JMFW 2025 recorded USD 20.4 million in potential transactions. This result stems from the business matching activities during the event. It’s a testament to the growing potential of Indonesia’s modest fashion industry,” Mardyana stated.

JMFW 2025 showcased 239 local brands, featuring over 1,000 modest fashion collections. The event highlighted the fusion of local wisdom and global trends, which contributed to its strong appeal. Mardyana also acknowledged the success of the various activities held throughout the event, including fashion shows, trade exhibitions, business matching, panel discussions, and textile design competitions.

The event took place alongside the 39th Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) from October 9-12, 2024, at Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE), BSD City, Tangerang, Banten. With the theme "Mark Ink," the event aimed to solidify Indonesia's position as a key player in the global modest fashion industry.

Mardyana further emphasized the broad participation during the four-day event, which attracted tens of thousands of visitors, including industry professionals, the general public, and buyers from over 56 countries. Countries such as Japan, France, and the Netherlands took part in business matching activities, highlighting Indonesia's growing influence in the global modest fashion market.

The closing of JMFW 2025, supported by Bank Indonesia (BI), showcased a collection of Indonesian pride, including collaborations with regional offices of BI and various local brands. This event serves as a bridge to the upcoming Indonesia International Modest Fashion Festival (IN2MF), scheduled for October 30 to November 3, 2024, at the Jakarta Convention Center.

Notably, the closing ceremony featured the signing of a joint statement between L'adresse Paris Agency and the Islamic Fashion Institute (IFI), alongside eight Indonesian brands. Additionally, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Singapore Malay Chamber of Commerce and Industry and PT Kreasi Kriya Indonesia, aiming to elevate the global presence of Indonesia’s modest fashion industry.

JMFW 2025 was supported by a range of sponsors, including Wardah, Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI), Toyota, Shop Tokopedia, UBS Gold, and many others, further bolstering the event’s impact and reach within the industry.

The collaboration between Indonesia’s Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Bank Indonesia, and numerous industry associations and community organizations was instrumental in the event’s success. This collective effort reflects the growing strength of Indonesia’s modest fashion ecosystem, both domestically and internationally.
