Forget borders — the next great gaming revolution might just be born from a collaboration between Poland and Indonesia.

At the Poland-Indonesia Gaming Roadshow Symposium 2025, held at Quest San Hotel, Denpasar, on October 10, 2025, creators, developers, and business leaders from both countries gathered to explore how storytelling, culture, and innovation can redefine the global gaming industry.

Part of the Poland Festival 2025, this symposium wasn’t just about games — it was about building bridges. Hosted by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH), in collaboration with the Embassy of Poland in Jakarta and Gamecomm Indonesia, the event spotlighted a growing creative partnership that’s pushing Southeast Asia’s gaming scene into the global spotlight.

Gaming as the New Cultural Language

In an era where players spend more time in digital worlds than real ones, games have become the most powerful form of storytelling — and both Poland and Indonesia are ready to lead that narrative.

“Games are one of the most influential creative industries of our time — a space where stories, technology, and imagination meet. This collaboration shows how cultural values can shape the future of the global gaming industry,” said Barbara Szymanowska, Ambassador of Poland to Indonesia.

Her words resonated across the room of developers, entrepreneurs, and creatives eager to turn local heritage into digital experiences that can compete on an international stage.

From Kraków to Bali: Building the Next Generation of Game Creators

Poland — home to world-renowned titles like The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077 — has long been a powerhouse in storytelling-driven game development. Indonesia, meanwhile, is a rising creative giant, with indie studios making waves through their cultural authenticity and innovation.

The symposium created a platform for these two creative forces to connect — fostering partnerships, exchange programs, and discussions on how narrative identity and regional folklore can inspire the next big hit.

From myth-inspired game design to AI-driven storytelling, sessions focused on one big question:

"What happens when Southeast Asia’s imagination meets European craftsmanship?"

The answer — judging by the excitement in the room — is something game-changing.

Poland Festival 2025: Where Creativity Meets Collaboration

As one of the key highlights of Poland Festival 2025, the Gaming Roadshow Symposium showed that Poland’s cultural diplomacy goes far beyond business — it’s about creative exchange.

By focusing on education, innovation, and shared artistry, Poland and Indonesia are proving that the future of global gaming doesn’t belong to one region — it belongs to creators everywhere.

The message is clear: the next big game might not come from Silicon Valley or Tokyo… but from a collaboration born in Denpasar.
