As part of the 66th Bhayangkara Traffic Day commemoration, Astra organized the Festival Indonesia Ayo Aman Berlalu Lintas (Indonesian Festival for Safe Traffic), on Friday, 24 September 2021 with the theme "Safe and Comfortable Together on the Road" to show its concern for traffic safety.

Brigadier General Pol. Prof. Chryshnanda Dwilaksana, M.Si, Director of Astra Gita Tiffani Boer, and Chairman of the Indonesian Motorcycle Association, Bambang Soesatyo, were also present to deliver the message of safety in this virtual event.

“We all need to work hand in hand to achieve our goal of making Indonesia's roads more regulated and secure for all road users,” said Gita Tiffani Boer in her statement.

On the occasion, there’s also an Indonesian Ayo Aman Berlalu Lintas (IAABL) podcast session, discussed the topic of regulations in Indonesia, driver behavior, and vehicle factors with automotive influencer Alinka Hardianti, cyclist influencer Tabby Sumendap, and General Manager of Corporate Communications PT Astra Honda Motor Ahmad Muhibbuddin, all accompanied by host Imam Darto.

In addition, comic Marshel Widianto delivered standup comedy entertainment during the festival, which was followed by the winner of the Traffic Safety Month Award, which is an IAABL program competition between Astra Group enterprises.

Previously, from May to September 2021, a series of activities for the IABBL were held in eight locations around Indonesia, including the Traffic Safety Month campaign and the Tour de Indonesia video production.

The IAABL program began in 2014 as a way for Astra to show its care for boosting Indonesian people's awareness of safe driving and traffic behavior.

In developing the IAABL program, Astra used the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a guide, particularly the third goal, Healthy Life and Prosperous, which has a target of 3.6, which is to cut the number of deaths and injuries caused by road accidents in half. This is done to ensure that the program is carried out in accordance with the government's development goals.

The IAABL program's various forms of activities also aim to assist the United Nations Decade of Action for Road Safety 2021-2030, with a focus on safety education for consumers, students, and the general public, as well as staff.

Safety driving and riding, education on product safety features, socializing and recommendations for safe traffic via webinars or talk shows, social media campaigns, IAABL module training by master trainer, and the company's internal pioneer are just a few of the activities carried out.

Astra has recruited 7.960 IAABL pioneers, taught 166.938 people and 845 online drivers, and exposed more than 34 million people to the IAABL program. The SDGs and Astra's aspirations for Prosperity of the Nation align with Astra's ethos of raising public awareness of the necessity of road safety.
