TOP 5 LARGEST LUXURY SHIP
A ship with various facilities and a large size, who knows you may find it docked in your city
Enjoying the calm sea atmosphere with a yacht is indeed an experience in itself for anyone lucky to feel it. Today's luxury ships come with various services and designs that make the owner and his guests feel the comfort of a five-star hotel.
In the world of yachts, size is one of the determinants, although not the main one, so that a vessel looks different from the others. The larger the measure means, the more facilities in it, the more expensive it is. Of course, the more it shows the economic status among other ship models.
We collected 5 of the largest yachts currently sailing. Maybe you are lucky to see one of them leaning against the harbor in your city.
Dilbar

We start from the smallest size, namely Dilbar, which is produced by Lurssen. This 157-meter yacht first sailed in 2016. In addition to its extended length, this ship is also significant for the volume of space.
Espen Oino, the designer, created a superstructure on the exterior extending from the front deck to the helipad at the rear. Dilbar has a swimming pool measuring 25 meters with a volume of 177 cubic meters of water which Lurssen claims is the largest on a cruise ship.
The interior design was handed over to Winch Design, which is known for designing premium yacht interiors. These designers use rare and exclusive luxury materials to provide an unparalleled sailing experience. Lürssen added that the world's largest motor yacht is one of the most complex and challenging yachts ever built due to its dimensions and technology.
Despite the Dilbar's volume, the designers did a great job of making the yacht look relatively sleek, with no apparent bulges along with the ivory and bronze accented hull. In June 2020, Dilbar returned to Lürssen for a significant repair. There is currently no complete information regarding the update.
Dubai
Moving on to the next yacht, Dubai, which is produced by Platinum Yachts. The ship with a length of 162 meters was designed by the expert hands of Andrew Winch. He was assigned by Prince Jefri Bolkiah of Brunei, a collaboration between Blohm+Voss and Lurssen.
Unfortunately, work on this ship stopped in 1998, which left an empty hull and hull. The story then continues when the unfinished vessel is sold to the Dubai government. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the country's ruler, then appointed Platinum Yachts to complete the ship's construction.
Dubai was handed over in 2006 and is now a royal cruise ship with accommodation for 24 guests and rooms for 88 crew. This seven-story yacht has a 21-meter atrium that is its trademark. In addition, there is a Black Hawk helicopter pad, submarine garage, discotheque, and cinema. Full certification was obtained from Lloyd's Register in October 2006 and can reach a top speed of 26 knots.
Eclipse

The Eclipse made by Blohm+Voss. The 163-meter-long ship belongs to billionaire Roman Abramovich and took five years to design and build.
When leaving the Blohm+Voss shipyard in Hamburg in 2010, this ship has the largest cruise ship in the world. The interior features 17 stately cabins and master suites, with the capacity to carry a crew of 85. Both the interior and exterior were designed by Terence Disdale.
The proportional profile is defined by the tiered deck that sweeps up and bends slightly at the rear end. Eclipse has a deck for the owner, which is 56 meters long. At the launch time, Eclipse has the largest swimming pool of all superyachts (the bottom of which can be raised and converted into a dance floor).
Other features reflect its stature: the capacity to accommodate three helicopters, including one in the lower deck hangar, a state-of-the-art stabilization system, six tenders, and a vast spa, gym, and beach club. The hybrid diesel-electric engine is connected to Azipod propulsion giving the Eclipse a top speed of 21 knots, with 6,000 nautical miles.
Fulk Al Salamah

Another ship that won the biggest title was the Fulk Al Salamah, made by Mariotti Yachts. This ship has a length of 164 meters and was first announced its existence in 2014. There is not much information about this yacht because the owner is still confused, one of which belongs to the kingdom of Oman.
The ship was built and delivered by Italian shipbuilder Mariotti Yachts at the Genoa shipyard in 2016. The exterior design was created by Studio de Jorio and is considered by some to be more of a support ship than a superyacht.
Azzam

Finally, Azzam was named the largest yacht. The Lurssen-built vessel is 180 meters long and was introduced in 2013. Its owner, Mubarak Saad al Ahbabi, is so privacy-conscious that not much information can be obtained, even from the shipbuilder Lurssen.
The owner directed a team of designers and engineers who started with a basic concept, worked their way through the technical challenges of what might be the most complex superyacht ever, and finished with a huge ship.
The exterior of the Nauta Yacht features a long and slender front area, with a proportionate level rising to the Skydeck. Lürssen described the interior by Christophe Leoni as "sophisticated, with lavish decor inspired by the Empire style of the early 19th century."
Its gas turbine, connected to a water jet, propels the Azzam more than 30 knots, giving it the ability to operate at high speeds in shallow water. The ship also boasts impressive build times for a yacht of its size, with construction taking just three years after a year of engineering. The Azzam was last repaired in 2020 at MB92 in Barcelona.
