PODFEST 2024 recently concluded its second edition with a spectacular display of creativity, inclusivity, and community spirit at The Brickhall, Fatmawati, South Jakarta. Hosted by Boss Creator and Podkemas Asia in collaboration with Spotify, the festival took place on June 22, 2024, showcasing Indonesia's burgeoning podcasting scene.

The event, which attracted over 3,000 attendees, featured 19 diverse line-ups spread across three stages: HAHA Stage, HIHI Stage, and HEHE Stage. Unlike traditional events, PODFEST 2024 uniquely embraced a format without MCs or moderators, allowing podcasters to engage directly with their audience in a natural, conversational manner.

One of the standout sessions was 'Rapot' on the HAHA Stage, notable for its inclusive approach. Accompanied by sign language interpreters, the session ensured that hearing-impaired attendees could fully participate and enjoy the discussions, including insights shared by special guest Raisa.

Moreover, PODFEST 2024 provided a platform for podcasters to interact directly with their loyal listeners. Sessions like 'Sruput Nendang' and 'Podkesmas' saw podcasters such as Marco, Marlo, and the quartet from Surya Insomnia engaging in lively discussions and interactive games, further enhancing the festival's dynamic atmosphere.

Carl Zuzarte, Head of Studios at Spotify Southeast Asia, expressed his optimism about Indonesia's podcasting potential, emphasizing Spotify's commitment to supporting local creators. "PODFEST 2024 has been instrumental in fostering collaboration among creators and direct engagement with their audiences," Carl remarked.

Beyond its entertainment value, PODFEST 2024 also served as a networking hub for podcasters to forge new collaborations and exchange ideas. The live podcast experiences offered a unique opportunity for creators to reach a broader audience and introduce their work to the public.
