An Ambitious Partnership Paves the Way for Unique Hospitality Experiences in Indonesia's New Capital City
Marriott International, Inc. has announced a significant Hotel Management Agreement with PT. Pakuwon Jati Tbk., a prominent Indonesian real estate developer. This agreement paves the way for the opening of three distinct properties in Indonesia's new capital city, Ibu Kota Negara Nusantara. The multi-deal agreement was formally signed by Anthony Capuano, President and CEO of Marriott International, and Alexander Tedja, President Commissioner of PT. Pakuwon Jati Tbk.
Ramesh Jackson, Area Vice President, Indonesia and Malaysia, Marriott International, expressed excitement about this collaboration, saying, "We are thrilled to be working with PT. Pakuwon Jati Tbk. on this landmark agreement. This milestone signing underscores our commitment to strategically expand our footprint in Indonesia, and we are pleased to also support the local government's efforts to accelerate the country's economic transformation, especially with the designation of Indonesia's new capital city in Nusantara."
With the name "Nusantara" signifying "archipelago" in ancient Javanese, the new capital city embodies a symbol of national identity and is planned as a smart forest city, aligning with Indonesia's ambitious goal to achieve zero carbon emissions and 100% reliance on new and renewable energy by 2060. As part of this agreement, Marriott anticipates introducing three distinctive brands to this highly anticipated destination: Four Points by Sheraton, Westin Hotels & Resorts, and Tribute Portfolio, each offering unique and authentic experiences rooted in the destination.

Four Points by Sheraton in Nusantara The first of these three properties is slated to be Four Points by Sheraton in Nusantara. Expected to feature 300 rooms, this property will offer an array of facilities, including an outdoor pool, function spaces with natural daylight, and a modern gym equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. Designed with the smart independent traveler in mind, Four Points provides a relaxed ambiance where classic and industrial elements blend seamlessly with modern design, creating spaces characterized by sophistication and carefree comfort.
The Westin in Nusantara The Westin in Nusantara is poised to offer 200 rooms and suites, all featuring the brand's signature Heavenly® Bed.
