South East Asia Six Hands Lambassador is a collaboration between Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) and 5-star Hotels Archipelago International, to invite more Indonesian consumers to enjoy Australian lamb.

Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) together with the 5-star Hotel Archipelago International initiated the South East Asia Six Hands Lambassador event to promote the consumption of Australian lamb among Indonesian consumers by increasing awareness of the taste, quality, and superiority of Australian lamb.

South East Asia Six Hands Lambassador which is held from November 26 to December 3, 2022, showcased the versatile Australian lamb chops through a culinary collaboration of 3 chefs from 3 different countries, including Indonesia. The global Lambassador program brings together influential food professionals, passionate about cooking with Australian lamb, to share the best methods of enjoying Australian lamb. This campaign was driven by MLA and also part of the Aussie Lamb brand to bring the best Australian lamb to the world.

This is the first time that 3 chefs from the Southeast Asian region come and collaborated to promote Australian lamb and interact directly with consumers for a wider range. Chefs A.S. Windoe from Indonesia will collaborate with Chef Francis Thuan from Vietnam and Chef Yakup T. from Thailand in promoting the South East Asia Six Hands Lambassador menu at The Grove Suites, Jakarta under the auspices of the 5-star Hotel Archipelago Group.

The appointment of Chef A.S. Windoe, Corporate Chef for Archipelago (West Area), as Chef Lambassador Indonesia reflects his experience and expertise in developing local dishes using Australian lamb in the Archipelago Group. His expertise in Australian lamb was built by attending MLA workshops and training in Indonesia, as well as a trip to Australia which gave him a better understanding of Australian lamb from farm to table. In addition, the trip also gave him the opportunity to exchange ideas with chefs from other countries and work together to promote Australian sheep.

MLA's Trade Development Manager, Siti Nur Aini, said, “As part of our commitment to supporting the red meat industry in Indonesia and increasing consumption of lamb, we wanted to introduce a diverse line of products and cuts of Australian lamb that are both versatile and delicious. We hope that the South East Asia Six Hands Lambassador event will make lamb accessible to more Indonesians and taste the delicacy of Australian lamb.”

General Manager of the Grove Suites, Berri Naurika, said "We are very pleased to be part of the South East Asia Six Hands Lambassador event and invite culinary lovers to enjoy the special creations of Australian lamb by three well-known chefs at Grove Suites Jakarta.
