Honda has just announced that it will present the NSX Type S to pay homage to sports car fans. Although the information is still limited, NSX lovers can't wait for the presence of the Honda sports car.

The NSX was first present in August 2016. This second-generation carries the DNA of a human-centered supercar from the previous model. NSX, which stands for new sports experience, was also present in Indonesia through an automotive exhibition. At that time, the order was opened at a price of around Rp 2 billion.

Back to the NSX Type S, This model will be the final model of the second-generation NSX. The Honda development team worked to improve the performance and design of this sports car to push the boundaries of the previous NSX model.

In terms of performance, the NSX currently uses Honda's 3-motor hybrid system "Sport Hybrid SH-AWD (Super Handling All-Wheel Drive). Based on the claim, this engine can produce 500 HP, max torque 550 Nm, and is paired with a 9-speed semi-automatic dual-clutch transmission. Honda promises the Type S the ability of this engine will be further improved.

The dimensions of the latest model have not been announced but will probably not differ from the standard variant. The NSX measures 4,490 mm in length, 1,950 mm in width and 1,215 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,630 mm.

Many questions will have to be held by NSX fans until the end of the month when Honda will provide more information about the limited Type S model.

In addition, the NSX Type S also becomes more attractive with the character of a super sports car with a new matte color that will be limited. The NSX Type S with this new color will be available 350 units worldwide, with 320 units for markets outside Japan and 30 units in Japan, making this edition incredibly rare.

The NSX is a symbol of Honda's challenge to offer a super sports car that can be enjoyed in various situations, from everyday activities to circuit driving. The first Honda NSX model went on sale in 1990. Its development even involved Formula 1 legend, Ayrton Senna.

This car has been well received by customers worldwide as a midship generation sports car that combines advanced technology to achieve robust performance and driving pleasure.

The first generation Honda NSX then underwent further development by presenting the Type S version and the Type R version. The first generation Honda NSX was produced and sold until 2005 to later become a legendary product among sports car lovers globally.

The second generation that has been present since 2016 is called the Acura NSX for the United States market. Its development took several years, not in Japan, but in the United States. This model then competed with several sports cars produced by Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Maserati.

The history of the second-generation NSX will conclude in December 2022 when the final NSX Type S is produced. The development team pursued the further improvement of driving performance and the sharp and beautiful presence and strived to offer the “joy of driving” and “joy of driving a vehicle at the will of the driver” as well as the “joy of owning” a special vehicle.

We look forward to more complete information about the NSX Type S. Hopefully, Indonesia will get a share of ownership for lucky consumers.
