Nestlé MILO's MILO ACTIV Indonesia Race (MAIR) 2023 has been hailed as a significant driver of Indonesia's economy, sports tourism, and environmental consciousness.

Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, lauded MAIR 2023 for its economic and tourism impact, emphasizing the pivotal role of the private sector in Indonesia's creative economy.

"As co-branding partners of Wonderful Indonesia, we applaud Nestlé MILO's consistent commitment to MAIR. The government fully supports such sporting events for their positive contributions," said Minister Sandiaga.

MAIR 2023 Jakarta Series, held on October 8, 2023, at Plaza Tenggara, Gelora Bung Karno Jakarta, drew an impressive 13,000 participants, a significant increase from the previous year's 4,500. The race featured three categories: 10K, 5K, and Family Run 2.5K.

Beyond promoting an active lifestyle, the event actively encouraged the "Gerakan Pilih Hijau" (Choose Green Movement) to foster environmental awareness. Nestlé MILO pledged part of the registration fees to plant 15,000 trees in Central Java in collaboration with the Lindungi Hutan Foundation.

Nestlé MILO also embraced the spirit of "Energi Nusantara" by introducing the Nusantara Kids Corner, promoting traditional Indonesian games like bakiak, egrang, gasing, and congklak.

Minister of Youth and Sports, Dito Ariotedjo, highlighted MAIR 2023's alignment with the government's efforts to promote sports across society. He applauded Nestlé MILO's commitment.

"This event inspires parents to instill a love for sports in their children. We hope MAIR motivates all to strive towards a 'Healthy and Fit Indonesia by 2045,'" Dito stated.

Samer Chedid, President Director of PT Nestlé Indonesia, expressed gratitude for the enthusiastic response. Nestlé MILO remains committed to inspiring Indonesians to lead active lives through sports.

"We expanded to 13,000 participants, almost three times last year. Congratulations to all winners and participants. Thanks to the government and partners for their support," Chedid said.

In the Men's 10K, Sedilta Pilon Nubationis won with a time of 33 minutes and 33 seconds, securing IDR 5 million. In the Women's 10K, Aprilia Kartina won with a time of 39 minutes and 42 seconds, also earning IDR 5 million.
