Sometimes, it is not just when you feel you are burnt out, drained or your work is consuming most of your time that you no longer have your personal time. Being in a comfort zone for too long, or when your position is stagnant, no development in future sight, then those are also the indicators and you need to be unleashed from the boring routine and stagnant phases.

Why?

Research on employee productivity shows that these are the factors that affect employees’ productivity. Check these out and if you think you are no longer getting those then give a second thought for your career changes.

Reward and Recognition

There are many ways for the employer to recognize your achievements and give rewards accordingly. Examples include once-in-a-lifetime trips and experiences, vouchers, or something as simple as an extra day off. The aim of rewarding and recognizing employees is to encourage and motivate them to exceed within the roles and enhance positive behaviors.

Career Development

Career development makes you self-dependent and allows you to contribute more effectively in the workplace. It also demonstrates that the company believes in you and wants you to progress within the company.

Work-Life Balance

If exhaustion strikes you may start to lose the passion for your job. Having a good work-life balance nurtures you. You are more likely to feel ‘burn out’ and will feel less motivated if there is not a healthy work-life balance.

Work Environment

You will be motivated and thrive in a positive work environment. This refers to the physical and non-physical environment. The physical environment is the office space and surrounding areas.

Regarding the non-physical environment, it can be the engagement value and how the communications are being conducted. Engagement is achieved through many different factors such as giving regular feedback, developing advice, and building teamwork to overcome daily challenges. Effective communication is created through continuous communications and trust. Honest and open communication throughout the business is the foundation of creating a workplace where you can thrive.

Why Not?

Shifting to entrepreneurs, why not? Yes! If you feel like you don’t belong anymore in an office career or 9 to 5 jobs then probably you can start considering building your entrepreneurship especially if you have that gut feeling to do so. Follow your intuition nevertheless and still, do it accurately and be prepared.

Before you start, try seeking advice from a Business Coach. Business Coaching will enable the owner in planning the business goals and keep them accountable so that they can achieve success.

Once you are all set and fully knowledgeable from your Business Coaching sessions, here are steps that you have to consider as well.

Determine the right business based on your passion and expertise

Entrepreneurship is a broad term, and you can be an entrepreneur in just about any area. However, you will have to pick a field to work in and a business to start. Find a business that won’t only be successful, but is something that you are passionate about. Entrepreneurship is hard work, so you want to focus your attention on something you care about. You don’t need to have any type of formal education to be an entrepreneur, but that doesn’t mean you should ignore education entirely. If you want to start a tech company, experience in business, computer programming, and marketing could all be valuable. Also, some industries will likely require some type of education, such as your accounting or law firm.

Make a Business Plan

Before you begin your business, you need to have a business plan. A business plan lays out any objectives you have as well as your strategy for achieving those objectives. This plan is important for getting investors on board, as well as measuring how successful your business is.

Examine the market segmentation, and target it right!

Not every business appeals to everyone. The age, gender, income, race, and culture of your target group will play a large role in determining where you open up shop – or if you even need to have a physical address for business. Research which group fits your business model best, and then gear everything to attract that demographic.

Network is important

While networking is important in all fields, it may be most important for entrepreneurs. Networking is how you meet other people that might have skills you can use in your business. You can also find potential investors through networking to help get your business model off the ground. Your network can also support your business once you open, helping send new customers your way.

Sell & upsell your uniqueness

Consumers want products, but they don’t always know which product to pick. Your job as an entrepreneur is to convince people that whatever you’re selling is the best option available. You’ll have to find out what makes your product unique and then sell it based on the value it adds.

Formulating an integrated Marketing Formula

You should be focused on marketing before, during, and after you start your business. You may have the best restaurant in the city, but nobody will visit if they don't know it exists. Marketing is tricky, but if you should be able to focus your marketing efforts on your target audience. For example, millennials may be more likely to see an ad on social media than on a billboard downtown.

So, are you ready to run a company as the top leader or to run your entrepreneurship kingdom? It is your call!
