INDONESIA FASHION BRAND, I KNOW YOU KNOW AKA IKYK FEATURED ITS NEWEST COLLECTION: "PLETHORA OF SENSE" IN FRANCE
Indonesia's local brand "I Know You Know" aka IKYK launched its newest collection in Paris Fashion Week 2022.
Local brand, IKYK (I Know You Know) released its newest collection, Plethora of Sense, in the Fashion Center, Paris. Fronted by the Director of IKYK, Anandia Putri Harahap, the collection was presented at the Westin Paris, Vendome. The exhibition was not IKYK's first time, although this event was used to introduce a modest wear concept to the international world.
"This was a special moment and a high achievement in the history of IKYK," Anandia said at a press conference.
Established in 2011, IKYK is an Indonesian-based modern and modest ready-to-wear brand that fits global citizens looking to enrich their aesthetics. Its signature is the oversized silhouette, earthy colors, and eco-friendly material. The brand also has its outerwear for all seasons as part of its unique collection.
IKYK has grown globally. It was initially started in Jakarta, but now it has been expanded to become one of the pioneering models in Korea, Japan, and Australia.
Plethora of Sense
Anandia's newest collection, the Plethora of Sense, was successfully featured in Paris Fashion Week 2022 on the 8th of March. The collection can be used for countries with four seasons, but may also fit used in a 2-seasoned country like Indonesia.
"For Plethora of Sense collection, we also used a more complex technique like quilting in the lace, printed designs that adorn the signature pleats mix, and also knitted materials that are printed and applied to the puffer jacket," said Anandia.
"The nuance of the Plethora of Sense exudes a strong and bold impression with a romantic touch, a feminine silhouette that is soft and modern but also balanced with a bold masculine side," Anandia added.
Previously, before the fashion week, IKYK also presents its Fall/Winter 2016 collection in Paris and gain compliments from its fans. For that reason, one of its motivations to launch its product in Paris was gratitude to its fans.
The colors that are used for the new collection include neutral colors like black creme, brown, and ivory colors that are paired with modern colors like purple, light yellow, sage green, and lilac. The materials chosen are also light, even though the design is layered with laces.
The knitwear and leather in some accessories such as their shoe collections are widely explored. In a nutshell, this collection is made easy to use in everyday life. IKYK believes that through fashion, we can express ourselves freely.
"Through this opportunity, we want to show the world that style inspiration and free-expression is something we can do together. Hopefully, we can give inspiration and fresh colors in clothing for anyone without looking at their background," Anandia closed.
Subsequent to the Vendome presence, IKYK opened a showroom in Gallery Joseph, Marais, Paris, and certainly will travel through more places.
