Hong Kong's largest family-friendly theme park, Ocean Park, will venture into the metaverse with The Sandbox.


Ocean Park, Hong Kong's biggest family-friendly theme park, has partnered with The Sandbox, a decentralized virtual world powered by Animoca Brands, to develop a digital playground in Sandbox's metaverse.

Ocean Park has a heritage of delivering memorable family vacations. Since its opening in 1977, it has developed into a world-class attraction that combines education and conservation with entertainment.

The Sandbox is a decentralized virtual world created by Animoca Brands. It has been attracting the interest of real estate investors due to its numerous brand partners, such as Adidas, The Walking Dead, and Atari. With more than 40 million registrations on mobile, The Sandbox is already the world's most popular virtual world.

Their goal is to help develop the local and international tourist markets through the use of various forms of entertainment. Ocean Park might even imply play-to-acquire NFTs in its collaboration with The Sandbox.
