The year 2022 is coming to a close with two more months on the calendar, meanwhile, events and concerts are making a comeback and each one wants a spot on yours.

Earlier this year in September, the Pestapora music festival made its debut to a roaring crowd. The festival featured various local acts and bands, including those of the humble dangdut variety, but that did not take any shine away from the event, far from it, it was welcomed with huge enthusiasm from a pretty young crowd, including the aging millennials and the spritely zoomers.

If you missed Pestapora, we got you covered, here are the five most anticipated events coming near the end of the year.

Back in my day, you weren’t really cool unless you’d been to the Djakarta Warehouse Project, an EDM event that made its humble beginnings in 2008 as a club event that took place at the Blowfish club in Jakarta. This year, the Djakarta Warehouse Project, or DWP, will be making a comeback for three days from December 9 to 11 at the JIEXpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, and headlined by world-class DJs such as Armin Van Buuren, DJ Snake, Hardwell, Martin Garrix and many more.

Youtube-Bedroom-Indie-Pop-Sensation Boy Pablo is finally coming to Jakarta all the way from Norway to see his Indonesian fans for three days straight on December 3 to 5 at the Hall Basket Senayan at the Gelora Bung Karno. After finding success with his mini album “Soy Pablo,” the Chilean-Norwegian singer-songwriter has been making the rounds, even appearing at Coachella. While this will be nowhere near as huge as Coachella, you’ll still be guaranteed a good and chill evening with Boy Pablo.

An honorable mention for the GudFest which was supposed to be held today, November 18 to November 20, but was postponed to March 2023 according to their concert organizers on Instagram. The festival was slated to feature Chvrches, Ruel, Dashboard Confessional, Eric Nam, Lauv, Honne, and many more. Concert organizers did not elaborate on their post as to why the festival was postponed, and only mentioned a “technical issue” that has not been fulfilled. The festival will likely return next year with a different lineup.
