The friendly neighborhood Spider-Man returned to Indonesian cinemas on December 15 with Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Benedict Cumberbatch reprising their respective roles in the film. Spider-Man: No Way Home is the third installment of the latest Spider-Man franchise, part of Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase Four.

One of the prominently featured antagonists in its viral trailer was Alfred Molina's Doc Ock from Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 2 with his metallic eight tentacles. There are also appearances from Electro, Sandman, Lizard, and the Green Goblin. The internet went crazy as its trailer revealed that familiar faces would be returning on the big screen. The trailer also revealed that the movie would be packed with loads of references from its past installments as well as MCU's other movies.

The movie raked in $1.05 billion USD in its first-12-days of the worldwide premiere, making it the only film released during the COVID-19 pandemic to reach this significant milestone. However, some of us are not lucky enough to have seen it on screen with the COVID-19 outbreak still ongoing. Worry not, because it seems we have something bigger ahead of us.

More minutes, more content, no spoiler

For those who have seen the movie, you already know by now that the prominent reveal was the meeting of all three Spider-Mans: Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland. For those who don't, we've endured all these major character spoilers as well as the story spoilers that Kim Kardashian uploaded on her quickly-removed Instagram stories. We did well, and now the pay comes.

Well, late-watchers, rumor has it that Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios have created an extended version of Spider-Man: No Way Home and it's going to be epic with extra runtime.

The rumor sprouted after the moderator team of the Marvel Studios Spoilers subreddit revealed that the extended cut might premiere on March 11 in (wait-for-it) Indonesia. Earlier this month, there are other reports that stated that the Spider-Man: No Way Home Blu-Ray edition would feature more than 100 minutes of extra content. The good thing is? We don't even have to watch it twice because our first time is gonna be 100 minutes more epic.

Some specualted that the potential theatrical re-release could be part of the companies’ strategy to break the $2 billion USD box office earnings mark as the film will advance from its ranking of being the sixth-highest grossing movie of all time.
