As one of the big countries with the largest Muslim population globally, Indonesia has potential to be the center of the halal product industry through the variety of Muslim fashion in the international market. To promote our local products to the global market, Bank Indonesia, Indonesia Fashion Chamber, and Indonesia Halal Lifestyle Center execute a Muslim fashion show as one of the Indonesia Sharia Economic Festival (ISEF).

ISEF this year became the 7th event with a theme "Mutual Empowerment in Accelerating Sharia Economic Growth through Promoting Halal Industries for Global Properity." Specifically, this year, the ISEF Modest Fashion will hold virtually with a theme "Sustainable Fashion, Sustainable Lifestye."

This theme has risen as a movement to give a strong message of ISEF 2020 Modest Fashion Organizing. This concept is not limited to fashion products but also becomes a sustainable lifestyle that refers to 3 principles, which are social, economic, and environmental.

Modest Fashion ISEF 2020 invites all participants to care by doing a sustainable healthy lifestyle while paying attention to community life, environmental harmony, and common welfare.

The concept of sustainable fashion is getting stronger by selecting main local materials and human resources to create a product that can run the local economy. It refers to global trend inspiration and taking care of life and social environment.

Through a virtual platform, Ali Charisme, as a National Chairman IFC, tells an activity of Modest Fashion ISEF created with a more attractive and dynamic approach. This fashion show will be broadcast through live streaming. Also, the designers have a chance to show their collections in whole pieces.

Modest Fashion ISEF 2020 will be held virtually on October 28-31, 2020, with various activities, including 12 sessions of the virtual fashion show, 164 designers or brands, 720 looks, and 180 models. It is completed with business matching; the designers will meet with potential buyers to elevate their business potentials.

Strictly curated

To prepare products that are ready to compete in the global market, designers are curated by some curators that are also fashion designers. Lia Mustafa, Deden Siswanto, Tuty Adib, Wignyo,Taruna K. Kusmayadi, Deden Siswanto, and Sofie will choose designers or brands that fit the international market. Selected criteria are based on Muslim fashion category, and how the local inspiration can imply global taste, high-quality control, following the global fashion trend, have a potential buyer, have good selling and business strategies, also using local material and human resources that have a sustainable element during the production process.
