Hong Kong is currently buzzing with creative energy as the citywide arts season gets underway. Headlined by the internationally renowned Art Basel Hong Kong and Art Central fairs, the season is filled with world-class events and experiences, showcasing Hong Kong's thriving creative landscape and reinforcing its position as a global cultural hub.
Art Basel Hong Kong, featuring 177 exhibitors from 32 countries and territories, is the largest edition of the fair since 2019. Hong Kong's homegrown art fair, Art Central, also took place concurrently, establishing the city as a leading hub for international arts and cultural exchange.
Visitors can explore the vibrant arts scene throughout the city, including the Harbour City's 'GIANTS: Rising Up' installation, Pacific Place's 'Gravity' by Awol Erizku, ArtisTree's 'Urban Rocks' by Polo Bourieau, and CHAT's 'Clouds, Power and Ornament - Roving Central Asia' exhibition.
Street art is also in the spotlight this season, with events such as the HKwalls street art festival, 'VLTRAPHOTONICS' by J. Demsky, and the K11 Arts Foundation's 'City As Studio' exhibition showcasing the movement from its beginnings to the present day.
