Greetings from Embassy of Hungary in Jakarta!

Ambassador of Hungary to the Republic of Indonesia, H.E Ms. Lilla Karsay and Spouse, Mr. David Medina have invited Ms. Sari Kusumaningrum (Owner of The S Media) to a National Day Reception and Classical Music Concert on the occasion of the 1848 Revolution of Hungary. The reception was held in the Ambassador of Hungary’s Residence on March 18, 2022, at 18.00.

This event was to celebrate the Hungarian Revolution of 1848, which was aiming at the creation of a free, independent Hungary 174 years ago. Every year on  March 15, the oldest to the youngest Hungarians gather to celebrate the Hungarian Civic Revolution and War of Independence of 1848-1849.

On that day, they wore the tricolor ‘kokárda’, which is the symbol of the revolution, and they recited the ‘National Song’ written by Sándor Petőfi, one of the most important Hungarian poets of the era.

And this is the festive atmosphere of Hungary's independence day celebration looks like.
