A captivating diplomatic celebration blended culture, unity, and shared achievements into an evening filled with warmth and mutual respect.
On 13 November 2025, the Embassy of Poland in Jakarta hosted an official reception marking a significant milestone—the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Poland and Indonesia. The event also formed part of the Poland Festival 2025 and commemorated Poland’s Independence Day. Beginning at 18:30 WIB, the evening welcomed ambassadors, senior government officials, and distinguished guests from various industries and institutions.
The program opened with welcoming remarks from Samuel Halim, representing the Embassy of Poland. Guests stood for the national anthem of the Republic of Poland, followed by the national anthem of the Republic of Indonesia—an expression of mutual respect and the close friendship between the two nations.

As host of the evening, H.E. Barbara Szymanowska, Ambassador of Poland to Indonesia, delivered a speech highlighting the steady growth of bilateral cooperation over the past seven decades. She was followed by H.E. Władysław Bartoszewski, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, who reaffirmed Poland’s commitment to strengthening partnerships across priority sectors.
The celebration continued with remarks from H.E. Arifatul Choiri Fauzi, Indonesia’s Minister of Women Empowerment and Child Protection. She emphasized the long-standing partnership between Poland and Indonesia and their shared aspirations in addressing global challenges.
A key ceremonial moment took place with the cake-cutting and joint toast led by VVIP guests, including H.E. Władysław Bartoszewski, H.E. Barbara Szymanowska, Mr. Krzysztof Mulawa, Mr. Tomasz Głogowski, and Mr. Wiesław Różyński. An exhibition featuring Polish amber, often referred to as Baltic gold, was presented through an elegant jewelry show with Indonesian models. The evening grew even more vibrant with a musical performance by the Quinten music band, featuring a selection of classic and contemporary Polish songs.
Throughout the night, attendees enjoyed an array of Polish culinary delights. A live cooking station served freshly made pierogi, alongside traditional Żubrówka beverages. A themed photobooth added a playful element to the celebration and quickly became a popular highlight among guests.
