Hong Kong, renowned for its world-class cocktail experiences, is set to become the host city for Asia's 50 Best Bars awards ceremony on July 18, 2023.

The prestigious event, considered one of the region's most authoritative surveys of cocktail tastes and trends, will bring together the finest bartenders and industry professionals from across Asia.

In collaboration with the Hong Kong Tourism Board, the annual awards have chosen the vibrant city as their venue for the first time.

Expressing enthusiasm for the upcoming event, Dr. Pang Yiu-kai, Chairman of the Hong Kong Tourism Board, emphasized the significance of hosting Asia's 50 Best Bars, stating, "We are delighted to host this year's edition of Asia's 50 Best Bars in July, one of the region's most significant celebrations of hospitality, which further affirms Hong Kong's position as Asia's foremost hub for cocktail experiences. Highlighting the remarkable bar scene in Hong Kong, Mark Sansom, Director of Content for Asia's 50 Best Bars, expressed his excitement about holding the awards in the city this year.

Despite facing stringent border controls over the past three years, Hong Kong continues to lead with its dynamic and diverse bar experiences, showcasing incredible innovation.

By bringing the most prominent event on Asia's bar calendar to Hong Kong, the aim is to shine a spotlight on the city's vibrant nightlife and contribute to driving travel and tourism.

The city boasted eight bars in the esteemed Asia's 50 Best Bars 2022 list, with two of them proudly representing their Hong Kong heritage. COA, a Mexican-inspired bar, claimed the top spot, while Argo, renowned for its creative cocktails featuring Asian-sourced ingredients, secured the third position.
