ARCHIPELAGO INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZED THE 16TH ARCHIPELAGO FOOD FESTIVAL AT ASTON BANUA BANJARMASIN

A collaboration of Archipelago's chefs in processing dishes made out of catfish.

In order to enliven the ASTON Banua Banjarmasin's 8th Anniversary celebration, Archipelago Food Festival was held by preparing a special dining event with the basic ingredients of catfish. The event took place at the Pool deck Oasis Swimming Pool, ASTON Banua Banjarmasin on Saturday, September 10, 2022. The Archipelago Food Festival was also part of a series of celebrations for Archipelago International's 25th Anniversary.

“It is an extraordinary moment for the celebration of ASTON Banua Banjarmasin's 8th Anniversary. Because this year it coincides with Archipelago International's 25th Anniversary, we invite the best Chefs from Archipelago hotels in South and Central Kalimantan to collaborate in the Archipelago Food Festival Borneo Chef's Collaboration 2022," said Dikdik Solehudin, General Manager of ASTON Banua Banjarmasin.

Archipelago Food Festival was a culinary festival in collaboration with chefs from various hotels in the Archipelago International network. On this occasion, the chefs of Central Kalimantan and South Kalimantan are joined and led by Chef Windoe as Archipelago International's Corporate Executive Chef in showing his expertise in processing catfish into a variety of delicious and appetizing hotel-style dishes and become a unique experience for the people of Banjarmasin City.

Chefs who participated in this event were Chef Yedi from NEO Palma Palangkaraya, Chef Junna from ASTON Tanjung Pinang, Chef Wahyu from favehotel Ahmad Yani Banjarmasin, Chef Sobari from ASTON Banua Banjarmasin and Chef Ano from favehotel Banjarbaru. The event was also enlivened by the accompaniment of traditional Dayak music and dances, Kalimantan.

“Besides Rich in Culinary, Archipelago also has a pillar of Rich in Traditions, which has meaning to uphold the cultural values ​​in each area where the hotel is located. For example, in ASTON Banua Banjarmasin, the island of Borneo is known as the Dayak tribe and the Sasirangan cloth as well as the traditional dances. That is also presented in this AFF," added Sari Kusumaningrum, Archipelago International's Director of Corporate Communications & PR who was also attended the event.

AFF at ASTON Banua Banjarmasin was officially opened by the wife of the Regent of Banjarmasin, Hj. Nur Gita Tiyas Mansur, M.Pd. The AFF sucessfully attracted 250 people on that evening.
