You don't have to dread Valentine's Day even if you're single, especially if you're content with your current condition. Don't fuss with the standards established by social media and the aunties in your housing complex.

Even those romantic movies may make it seem like your soulmate is just around the corner. You don't need to rush since if you're single on Valentine's Day, you might really be in good company.

The best part is that you get to celebrate the day exactly how you want to, even amid the pandemic, from a shopping spree to some bubble bath.

Buy yourself something nice
Maybe you're on a closet diet, maybe you're on a cosmetic detox, or you're just into minimalism overall. However, you can always find something you need to buy. Maybe a new water bottle? Or a pair of new Korean spoons so you can eat while shouting "JINJA" during your K-drama fest?

Get some spa or a relaxing massage
Valentine's Day is the perfect time to treat yourself to a massage, facial, fresh haircut or blowout, or makeover. Get a trusted masseuse to ease up your tensed muscles.

Pick the places that offer safe health protocols so you can unwind in peace. Some top picks? Meiso Reflexology, Martha Tilaar Day Spa, or Inaria Spa at Intercontinental Pondok Indah.

Let it burn
No, don't burn the gifts from your ex. Donate them, or recycle them. What we meant was you might want to sweat it out this Valentine's Day. The natural endorphins you get from exercise are one of the fastest ways to feel instantly happier, whether it's a run in the park or a yoga session.

You can also just stay at home and switch on some favorite workout videos. Probably it's worth your while to check out Blogilates or Jennifer Bachdim's YouTube channels.

Take a staycation
You don't have to go far to take an exciting trip. Play tourist in your hometown, book a night in a hotel or go glamping in your own backyard. See if travel services like Traveloka and Tiket.com have a nice offer this time around.

While you're at it, it's probably best to find a hotel that provides a bathtub so you can get a relaxing dose of bubble bath. Grab one of the best fiction books, pour a glass of something delicious, turn on your favorite Spotify playlist, and then draw yourself the most epic bubble bath ever.

Make it luxurious and fun with fizzy bath bombs and candles. Our favorite? European Red Fox Bath Bomb by The Body Shop.
