THE COLLABORATION BETWEEN SACAI, JEAN PAUL GAULTIER, AND NIKE
Get your money ready!
The powerful Japanese designer, Sacai, would collaborate with Nike and Jean Paul Gaultier.
Together, the luxury French designer Chitose Abe and the Swoosh team have (literally) taken the unique Vaporwaffle silhouette to new heights. The model has been beefed up to a higher cut and features new Air Woven-esque exposed stitchings that run along the mid-foot and ankle collars. Two colorways are included in this impending capsule, one being a two-toned “Black/White” offering while the other is a more adventurous “Blue/Sesame” offering. The base layers of each pair are prepared with a blend of suede, calf leather, and mesh materials, and the fashion-forward sole piece retains its aggressive double-stacked and lipped-out aesthetic. Heels and tongues bear co-branded hits from Nike and Sacai while the insoles are adorned with a Jean Paul Gaultier spell out.
Sacai has confirmed that both propositions will be dropping towards the end of September.
But that’s not only the collaboration. Unveiled a few months back, we now have a closer look at the KAWS x Sacai x Nike.
Part of the KAWS x Sacai FW21 “Wearable Art” collection, the powerhouse collaborative release is set to arrive for two colorways. The multicolor red and blue-themed colorways build on Chitose Abe‘s stacked take on the Blazer with layered shoelaces, tongues, eye stays, and midfoot Swooshes. Additional branding comes in the form of tongue tags, printed insoles and KAWS’ “XX” motif on the layered sole unit.
Take a closer look at the KAWS x Sacai x Nike Blazer Low and expect the shoes to release alongside the FW21 “Wearable Art” collection in the near future.
