Earns $500 Million, 'F9' Breaks Pandemic Box Office Records.

Fast Furious 9 became the first American film since 2019 to earn $500 million globally. The Fast and Furious has become one of the best movie franchises in the world.

According to a new report from Deadline, the latest installment to the Fast & Furious franchise has managed to bring in $23.8 million at the international box office over the weekend, reaching top status across five new markets. The blockbuster has brought in roughly $374.4 million from 50 foreign markets and is projected to rake in another $35 million by Monday.

Including domestic ticket sales, F9 is now at $495.1 million USD, putting it on track to surpass the $500 million USD mark in the near future. If it does so, it’ll be the first American film since 2019 to achieve the result. The Fast and Furious franchise is also one of the highest grossing franchises of all time at no 7 with $6, 394, 254, 279.

The saga begins in 2001, starring the late Paul Walker and Vin Diesel. Over the years, the franchise has gained a bigger family. Just like Dominic Toretto said, “No matter where you are. Whether it's a quarter mile away or halfway across the world. You'll always be family.” Unfortunately, the saga drastically changed right after Paul Walker died in a car crash. Paul Walker played the character of Brian O’Connor. However, in every film, the Fast and Furious family has tried to leave Brian O’Conner presence in the family.

The Fast and Furious series has entertained the audience with its car chases to actions that may not make sense.

Fast and Furious 9 would not be the last Fast and Furious franchise. They still have an upcoming film and more prequels to come.

For example, a Twitter account under the name of @alexandermomma commented: The #F9

The ending made me tear up with “Brian” pulling up for the cookout.

Overall, the movie has been a decent success despite being released during the pandemic time.
