The Chinese New Year's Eve and New Year's day are usually filled with hot and bright colors — especially red, since it is said to bring good luck and prosperity. Generally, all bright colors are acceptable, but black and white clothes should be avoided because they are associated with funerals.

However, if you want to gamble with the old superstitions, Dior is bringing a Lunar New Year holiday capsule dedicated to celebrating new beginnings. Decorative butterfly motifs sprawl across spring hues of hot pink, white, gray and gold.

"Surrounded by a kaleidoscope of red butterflies and flowers echoing the whimsical prints adorning the clothes, discover the exclusive Dior capsule designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri to celebrate the Lunar New Year," the brand wrote.

"Dreamed up for the Lunar New Year, this capsule celebrates the beauty of nature through creations dotted with red butterflies and flowers – a shade dear to Monsieur Dior."

Some highlighted accessories are Saddle Bag fully embroidered with butterflies, accented with the signature "CHRISTIAN DIOR" on the front. The iconic Saddle comes with a stylish flap and a magnetic D-shaped clasp.

"The vibrant motifs adorn a series of elegant and sporty ready-to-wear pieces and accessories, including white cashmere knits and House icons like the 'Dior Book Tote' and 'Saddle' bags embroidered with the enchanting multicolor butterfly design."

Aim for a preppier look with Small Dior Book Tote that features the same design as the Saddle, or stay on the elegant side with the Lady D-Joy Bag that boasts an eclectic white base covered with multicolored butterfly patterns. Pair them with the D-Connect and Addict Sneakers, apparel, or jewelry.

Kim Jones also prepared something for his Dior Men line. Pairing up with revered artist Kenny Scharf, Dior Men recently revealed the collaborative Chinese New Year collection that focuses on the tiger theme. Year of the Water Tiger, remember?

Just in case you haven't read much about what the tiger and the water element mean, you can visit our previous piece covering the topic here.

The collection is expectedly vibrant with a print-heavy approach, with puffer coats, tees, hoodies, shirts, trainers, bags, and more adorned tiger-associated iconography and the colors red, beige, white, and blue. Just like its female counterparts, the Dior Men collection also features the iconic Saddle bag.

If you have them on their way after you check them out from the official Dior website or official store shop assistant, make sure they're washed before New Year's Eve and wear it in even numbers. You know, just to be safe.
