In a recent development in the world of Korean entertainment, BLACKPINK's Jennie has made a decision regarding her participation in JTBC's upcoming variety show "My Name is Gabriel" (literal title).

According to a source from JTBC on March 19, Jennie will not be gracing the screens of "My Name is Gabriel." The announcement was further confirmed by Jennie's agency, stating that she had received an offer but has chosen to decline it, citing her current plans to refrain from appearing on variety shows.

"My Name is Gabriel" is a highly anticipated JTBC variety show helmed by PD Kim Tae Ho, renowned for his work on the immensely popular MBC program "Infinite Challenge." The show is designed around the concept of cast members experiencing the lives of individuals abroad. Notably, on March 11, JTBC had confirmed the participation of actors Ji Chang Wook, Park Bo Gum, and Yeom Hye Ran, as well as entertainers Park Myung Soo and Hong Jin Kyung. However, Jennie's involvement remained uncertain at that time.

With filming scheduled to commence in early March, "My Name is Gabriel" is set to hit the airwaves in June, promising viewers an engaging and immersive experience.

While fans may be disappointed by Jennie's decision not to join the cast, her focus on other endeavors outside of variety shows indicates her dedication to exploring diverse opportunities in her career. As anticipation builds for the premiere of "My Name is Gabriel," audiences eagerly await the unique journeys and experiences that the show's cast will embark upon.
