Land Rover has just presented a special edition Defender 110 and 90 aimed at James Bond fans. This is related to Agent 007's latest film, No Time to Die, which uses a Land Rover as one of its vehicles.

This British car brand presents the mysterious-looking Defender, perfect for the flamboyant spy in action. This special edition was made by the Land Rover SVO Bespoke department, which gives it a black color like the M16 secret service vehicle.

This SUV uses a mighty engine with a 5.0 liter supercharged V8 paired with 8-speed automatic transmission. This engine is capable of producing 518 hp and a maximum torque of 625 Nm.

The ability of this machine can go from 0 to 100 km per hour in 5.1 seconds. The top speed is claimed to reach 240 km per hour, an ability that must be owned by a Bond secret agent vehicle to fight crime.

Land Rover's special edition is made to resemble the vehicle in the movie. The four wheels use a size of 22 inches with a coloring called Luna Gloss Black alloy. Interestingly, Land Rover includes the Xenon Blue-colored brake calipers that characterize this special edition.

The suspension and transmission on this product are also specially regulated, including for the damper rate and spring. Land Rover also features the latest Electronic Active Rear Differential, which makes this model deliver precise control to provide a whole driving experience along with V8 sound.

Unfortunately, there is no sophisticated weaponry on this special edition Land Rover. Unlike the famous Aston Martin DB5, this Defender includes unique details. There is a Defender 007 badge on the back, sides, and numbering for this limited-production special edition.

The inside remains the same. However, details of James Bond 007 can be found on the Pivi Pro touch screen head unit, which includes Bond animation and some parts of the car's interior like the tread plate.

As a bespoke product, this special edition Land Rover can be personalized according to the wishes of consumers. This includes the choice of interior materials to be used as well as specific coloring.

"The Land Rover Defender V8 Bond Edition is an exclusive take on the most powerful production Defender ever made, inspired by vehicles on screen in No Time to Die. It represents a meeting of two great British brands and is a unique celebration of Land Rover's 38-year association with James Bond," Land Rover's brand director Finbar McFall said in a statement.

The Defender is the vehicle most used in action scenes in the latest James Bond films. Some of the other models in the film include two Range Rover Sport SVRs, a Range Rover Classic, and a Land Rover Series III.

This special edition of Bond 007 is limited to only 300 units. Regarding the Land Rover Defender V8 price, it is valued at $114,600 or around Rp 1.6 billion.

The James Bond film No Time To Die will hit theaters on September 30, 2021. Directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, this is the 25th film in the Ian Fleming franchise. Film star Daniel Craig will end his role as Bond in this fifth film.
