Musical duo "Stars & Rabbit" captivated the audience at the Samalas Fest held by the West Nusa Tenggara branch of Perum LKBN ANTARA, situated at the base of Mount Rinjani, on Saturday night.

Hundreds of Stars & Rabbit fans had already filled the performance area since Saturday afternoon, and they were compelled to sway along to the rhythm of the music. This phenomenon was particularly evident during their rendition of the song "Man upon The Hill" from their debut album "Constellation," released in 2015. Initially seated, the audience soon rose to their feet and began moving to the music.

The indie pop musicians played at least eight songs during their performance, with the vocal character of Elda harmoniously blending with the guitar strumming by Adi, adding a fresh dimension to Indonesia's music industry.

Since their emergence, works by Stars & Rabbit, such as "Man upon The Hill," have managed to captivate the attention of music enthusiasts across the country, particularly those who appreciate folk music.

"It's truly extraordinary and a new experience for us; we performed at the base of Mount Rinjani," said Elda, the vocalist of Stars & Rabbit.

Didit, the guitarist of Stars & Rabbit, shared similar sentiments and was left speechless by the audience's response in Lombok.

"I'm at a loss for words in the face of such an overwhelming audience response," he expressed.

"I hope we can come back to Sembalun," he added.

The Samalas Fest event also featured local musicians from Lombok, including The Dare, Ary Juliyant, Sisasa, Isvara, Sangga Boemi, Chandra Irawan, and more.

The synergy of Stars & Rabbit's music, the breathtaking setting at the foot of Mount Rinjani, and the enthusiastic audience made the Samalas Fest an unforgettable evening of musical enchantment and cultural celebration.
