MINI Indonesia again presents a complete line of MINI products at the GIIAS 2021. As in previous years, MINI offers the MINI anniversary edition and celebrates 10 years of MINI Indonesia's presence.

With the big #BIGLOVE theme, MINI Pavilion comes with a more colorful and vibrant concept and appearance. This is in line with the MINI brand, which continues to keep up with the times, but still excels inefficient spatial planning, advanced mobility technology, and legendary go-kart handling.

The legend and long history of MINI are also present powerfully with the launch of the MINI Anniversary Edition, which is a tribute to the late John Cooper, who put strong Motorsport values ​​on the MINI brand in the 1960s. The number of units available in this edition refers to the starting number 74, which the classic MINI Cooper 3-Door Cooper wore on its first successful race track appearance. In Indonesia, 15 units will be available in three variants of the MINI Anniversary Edition model.

The MINI Anniversary Edition

The name John Cooper, born 98 years ago, represents the great success in Formula 1 and the motorsport spirit of the MINI brand. 60 years ago, John Cooper laid the groundwork for legendary racing victories in the classic Mini. It was the beginning of the collaboration between MINI and the Cooper Family that continues to this day. The shared tradition stretches from the MINI Cooper Mk. I, launched in September 1961, to the sporty John Cooper Works models in the current lineup.

To mark its anniversary, the British premium brand presents a special edition MINI 3-Door that combines a return to history with cutting-edge technology. The MINI Anniversary Edition is a tribute to John Cooper, who died in 2000, and a testament to how maximum driving pleasure is enjoyed in his name today, especially in the premium compact car segment.

A sense of history with the MINI and Cooper Family can be found both on the exterior and interior of this vehicle. As early race cars designed by John Cooper were recognizable by green paint with white accents, the MINI Anniversary Edition is offered in British Racing Green metallic.

Alternatively, the Midnight Black metallic variant is available. The MINI John Cooper Works is also provided in Rebel Green and Chili Red body colors. All painted finishes combined with the roof, exterior mirror covers, door handles, and ring lights on the front and rear are white. Other exterior trim elements are offered in the high gloss Piano Black.

This exterior feature is complemented by the white hood stripes and red accent stripes, the number 74 on the hood and doors, reminiscent of the start of its motorsport career when the classic Mini Cooper wore the starting number 74 when it won its first class on the track.

The MINI Anniversary Edition combines the John Cooper Works Trim with exclusive model features, emphasizing its sporty character and awareness of historical roots. For example, the suspension with frequency-selective damping complements 18-inch John Cooper Works light-alloy wheels in a 2-tone Circuit Spoke design. The "COOPER" name logo can be found on the door sill trim, side scuttles, C pillar, and in the center of the steering wheel.

Interior equipment for this edition includes John Cooper Works sports seats in Dinamica/Carbon Black leather, anthracite headliner, stainless steel pedal set, and interior trim in high-gloss Piano Black. A red ring of the original John Cooper logo adorns the lid of the luggage compartment and the interior surfaces on the passenger side.

On the driver's side, the internal surfaces feature the signatures of John, Mike, and Charlie Cooper. As a further indication of the exclusive character of this edition, the inside of the driver's door frame features an emblem with John Cooper's signature, the handwritten note "1 of 740", and the words "60 Years of MINI Cooper - The Unexpected Underdog".
