The historic Salle Wagram, an iconic auditorium built in 1865 in Paris, France, is set to host the fifth annual Front Row Paris on September 7, 2024. This year, the elegance and grandeur of Salle Wagram will serve as the backdrop for showcasing the works of 10 Indonesian designers and fashion brands, marking another significant milestone for Indonesia in the global fashion scene.

Organized by the Indonesian Fashion Chamber (IFC) in collaboration with Ditali Cipta Kreatif, Front Row Paris continues its mission to position Indonesia as one of the world’s fashion hubs. This prestigious event aims to promote Indonesian fashion products to the European market, a critical player in the global fashion industry. Front Row Paris is envisioned as the gateway for Indonesian designers and brands to attract international buyers, particularly from Europe.

The 2024 edition of Front Row Paris will feature a series of activities, including fashion showcases, exhibitions, and business matching sessions. These events are expected to draw a large number of stakeholders, buyers, media, and influencers from across Europe. The ultimate goal is to establish long-term business collaborations and transactions, both B2B (Business to Business) and B2C (Business to Consumer), between Indonesian designers and international buyers, particularly those from Europe. Among the key attendees will be 50 buyers from the renowned Parisian luxury department store, Printemps Haussmann, who may potentially forge new business partnerships with Indonesian brands.

“Our commitment is to continuously enhance the quality of Front Row Paris each year, ensuring optimal results in introducing Indonesian fashion to the global stage through the European market,” stated Ali Charisma, Advisory Board member of the Indonesian Fashion Chamber. “Indonesian fashion products, infused with traditional Indonesian textiles and culture, have received positive recognition from the European market, and we aim to strengthen this further. Through this event, Indonesian designers and brands can gain deeper insights into the demands and business potential of the European fashion market.”

The diversity of fashion styles, combined with Indonesian identity and designed in line with global trends, including sustainable fashion, which is currently a global focus, forms the strength of the Indonesian fashion products showcased at Front Row Paris.

This year, 10 Indonesian designers and fashion brands will participate in presenting and marketing their products, including Ali Charisma, Deden Siswanto, Lenny Agustin, Gregorius Vici x Lucent Skincare, Sofie, Testimo by SB x Jims Honey, and A3 Studio, a Paris-based brand, along with fashion school students.

In a bid to strengthen the synergy between the education sector and the fashion industry, Front Row Paris also supports Indonesian fashion education institutions in producing competent graduates ready to compete in both national and international fashion industries. Among the participants are students from Binus University and BBPPMPV Bisnis dan Pariwisata, under the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture, bringing students from SMKN 8 Makassar, SMKN 6 Padang, and SMKN 1 Kendal to showcase their works at Front Row Paris 2024.

The Indonesian Embassy in Paris continues to support the Front Row Paris event, amplifying the excellence of Indonesian fashion on the global stage through Europe, home to two of the world’s fashion capitals.

A press conference for Front Row Paris 2024, held on August 23, 2024, at Bali Coffee Club Jakarta, featured a discussion with key speakers: Ali Charisma, Advisory Board Indonesian Fashion Chamber; Dr. Nahdiana, S.Pd., M.Pd., Acting Head of BBPPMPV Bisnis dan Pariwisata; Dian Desiana, Managing Director, Building Valuable Relationship Group Asia; and Lenny Agustin, National Chair Indonesian Fashion Chamber.

This year’s Front Row Paris is set to be a landmark event, celebrating the creativity and innovation of Indonesian fashion in one of the most influential cities in the world.
