The Met Gala is set to return after a year-long break due to the pandemic. This year’s The Met Gala returned with the theme of “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.” So The Met Gala is not going to be in the first week of May instead it's going to have its gala in September 2021.

So this year, younger and influential artists, actors, and athletes would co-chair the event from Timothée Chalamet, Billie Eilish, Naomi Osaka, and Amanda Gorman, while Tom Ford, Adam Mosseri, and Anna Wintour comprise the evening’s honorary chairs.

So let’s see some of this year’s co-chair's fashion. Timothe Chalamet has amazed people with his performance in Call Me by Your Name. Then in 2019, Timothe amazed everyone with his unexpected mix of streetwear and suits at the Golden Globes 2019.

While Billie Eilish has amazed everyone with her baggy clothes and strong opinion about body positivity. “My body is mine and yours is yours. Our own bodies are kind of the only real things which are truly ours,” she told GQ in 2020

So what about Naomi Osaka? The Japanese tennis star has spent her time in the stateside. Not only that, Osaka has been vocal about racism against the minorities in America. During the US Open 2020, Osaka wore masks of the fallen victims of the false shooting and those who have been shot by police. Osaka has also spoken about Asian Hate Crime. Additionally, Osaka has collaborated with ADEAM.

Last but not least Amanda Gorman. She stole the world's attention through the power of words and yes her spirit during Joe Biden and Kamala Harris's inauguration. Every year, the Met Gala has a specific theme, the event is hosted by Anna Wintour. Last year, the Met Gala theme was About Time: Fashion and Duration, but it was unfortunate that the event was cancelled.
