THE VENICE BOAT SHOW SPECTACLE: BLUEGAME SHINES WITH UNFORGETTABLE SHOWCASE
Craftsmanship, innovation, and artistry: Bluegame's unforgettable showcase at the Venice Boat Show.
Bluegame, the renowned Ameglia shipyard, left spectators in awe with its remarkable presence at the recently concluded Venice Boat Show, held at the scenic Venice Arsenal from May 31 to June 4.
Teaming up with Sanlorenzo, Bluegame made a significant impact not only with its distinct vessels but also by choosing an extraordinary and exclusive setting to display its craftsmanship.
Visitors were greeted by the sight of the BG42 and BG54 models, alongside the flagship SL78, positioned beneath the grand "Building bridges" installation by the esteemed contemporary Italian artist, Lorenzo Quinn.
This globally recognized work of art features six monumental hands symbolizing universal values such as hope, help, love, wisdom, faith, and friendship, spanning across the Arsenale basin. The juxtaposition of sculptural art and nautical marvels created a truly captivating experience.
However, the allure extended beyond the salon docks, urging attendees to explore the dedicated area for the Sanlorenzo group beneath the Arsenal tower. Here, they were met with the impressive large-scale model of the BGH, the tender being constructed by Bluegame to accompany American Magic, the challenger for the 37th edition of the America's Cup in Barcelona scheduled for November 2024.
The BGH, set to launch in August, represents the epitome of sustainability—an innovative 10-meter multihull propelled solely by hydrogen fuel cells and equipped with dynamic foils. This groundbreaking vessel has the ability to "fly" at 50 knots, emitting zero emissions and leaving no more than a drop of water behind.
The BGH took center stage alongside Sanlorenzo's high sustainability projects, solidifying the shipyard's position as a true pioneer on the path to carbon neutrality. The presentation, titled "Sanlorenzo: hydrogen, (our) road to 2030," occurred on June 1 at the Venice Arsenale's Sala Squadratori (Squadrators Hall) during the Biennale dedicated to Sustainability.
Bluegame's presence at the Venice Arsenale showcased the best of today and tomorrow, promising to astonish and inspire visitors once again. The shipyard's commitment to innovation, design, and sustainability continues to solidify its position as a leader in the world of yachting.
