Hotel Indigo, a distinguished member of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ luxury and lifestyle collection, has unveiled its second Indonesian property, the Hotel Indigo Bandung Dago Pakar, nestled in the picturesque city of Bandung.

Embracing the brand’s core philosophy, each Hotel Indigo offers a unique experience deeply rooted in its locale. The new Bandung property epitomizes this ethos, infusing the essence of the Dago Pakar neighborhood into every facet of its design and operations. Located 700 meters above sea level, the hotel provides a serene retreat surrounded by Bandung’s lush greenery and morning mists. Its name, inspired by the Sundanese word “Dagoan” meaning “to wait,” reflects the warm hospitality and immersive experience awaiting guests.

The hotel's architecture and interiors harmoniously blend traditional Sundanese motifs with modern design elements. Guests are greeted by cascading waterfalls, classic Bandung batiks, and folklore inspired by the nearby Tangkuban Perahu mountain. Floor-to-ceiling windows in the lobby offer breathtaking views of the verdant hillside landscape.

Hotel Indigo Bandung Dago Pakar features 277 elegantly appointed rooms and suites, each designed to reflect the vibrant local culture. The rooms offer stunning views of Dago Pakar and include comfortable daybeds for relaxation. Design elements such as local batik motifs and topographic contours create a unique blend of local charm and contemporary comfort.

Dining at Hotel Indigo Bandung Dago Pakar promises a journey through Sundanese heritage. The hotel’s main restaurant, Joempa, serves a range of savory dishes from West Java, including cuanki and batagor, crafted from seasonal ingredients sourced from local farms and spice gardens. The forthcoming Karbon rooftop restaurant and bar will offer an Asian grill and smokehouse experience, featuring dishes prepared over open kitchen embers and beverages inspired by Sundanese traditions.

Dagoan Lounge, with its lively décor including vibrant graffiti and batik ceramics, provides a welcoming space for guests to enjoy snacks and drinks while taking in the panoramic views of the surrounding hills.

Additional amenities include Bandung's highest rooftop infinity pool, a Kids Club with traditional Sundanese games, a 24-hour gym, and an upcoming selection of stylish meeting rooms and a spacious Grand Ballroom for various events.

"Hotel Indigo Bandung Dago Pakar is a tribute to the rich tapestry of Sundanese culture and the natural splendour of Bandung," said Pascal Caubo, Cluster General Manager. "We are excited to offer a retreat where every detail reflects the vibrant spirit and beauty of this beloved neighborhood."

Dago Pakar, located in Bandung’s northern reaches, offers a blend of Sundanese culture and European influences, earning it the nickname 'Paris of Java.' Just a 30-minute high-speed train ride from Jakarta, the area boasts attractions like Taman Hutan Raya Juanda and Tebing Keraton, as well as proximity to Djuanda Forest Park and its rich biodiversity.

Hotel Indigo Bandung Dago Pakar is now open for bookings with special opening offers. Guests can also take advantage of the IHG One Rewards program for enhanced benefits and personalized experiences. For reservations and more information, visit the hotel’s website or contact them directly.

With 154 hotels in 25 countries, Hotel Indigo remains a prominent brand within IHG’s Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio. Upcoming openings for 2024 include Hotel Indigo Grand Cayman, Hotel Indigo Jabal Akhdar Resort & Spa, Hotel Indigo Bintan Lagoi Beach, and Hotel Indigo Palau.
