ASIAN PARA GAMES 2026 MEDAL TABLE: CHINA LEADS, INDONESIA SITS 9TH
Asian Para Games 2026 medal table: China leads with 169 medals, Indonesia is 9th with 7 golds. See the top 10 and Indonesia’s gold winners.
At a glance (as of 21 Oct 2026, 14.00 WIB)
- China’s total: 169 medals (82 gold)
- Indonesia’s rank: 9th, with 32 medals
- Indonesia’s golds: 7
- Indonesia’s bronzes: 19
Japan has won more medals than Uzbekistan at the Asian Para Games 2026. Uzbekistan is still ranked higher. That is not a mistake.
The reason is simple. The medal table ranks countries by gold medals first, not by total medals. We explain this below.
What Does the Asian Para Games 2026 Medal Table Look Like Right Now?
The Asian Para Games 2026 medal table, updated Wednesday, 21 October 2026 at 14.00 WIB, has China in first place with 169 medals: 82 gold, 47 silver and 40 bronze. Uzbekistan is second with 70 medals, and Japan is third with 72. Indonesia is ninth with 32 medals: 7 gold, 6 silver and 19 bronze. The data comes from DataIndonesia.id and covers the top 10 countries at the Games in Nagoya, Japan.
Picture the scoreboard as an infographic: a red-and-white table laid over a backdrop of dancers in red costumes. China’s row stands out because of one number, 82. That is almost four times Uzbekistan’s 21 golds.
Why Is Uzbekistan Ranked Above Japan?
Uzbekistan has 21 golds and Japan has 20. That one gold medal decides the order, even though Japan has 72 medals in total and Uzbekistan has 70.
Indonesia is in the same situation. It has 32 medals, one more than Kazakhstan’s 31, but Kazakhstan is eighth because it has 9 golds to Indonesia’s 7.
This is the fact to share with friends: in this table, one gold is worth more than any number of silvers or bronzes.
How Is Indonesia Doing at the Asian Para Games 2026?
Indonesia is doing well, though not at the very top. Its 32 medals put it ahead of Arab Saudi (10 medals) and level with the medal counts of bigger sports nations.
The most striking number is the bronze count. Indonesia has 19 bronzes, more than its golds and silvers combined (13). Only Japan (29) and Thailand (26) have more bronzes in the top 10. That suggests a deep team with many athletes close to the podium. The next step is turning some of those bronzes into golds.

Won Won Indonesia's Seven Gold Medals?
Six athletes share the seven golds. Maulana Rifky Yavianda leads the way with two golds in para swimming.
I Kadek Dwi Purwana Yasa won the discus throw. Muhammad Fadli Imammuddin won in para cycling. Karisma Evi Tiarani took the 100 metres in athletics.
Gischa Zayana and Handayani each won gold in the women’s individual boccia, a precision ball sport played seated. Two Indonesian golds in one sport shows real strength in boccia.
What Should We Watch Next?
The table is not final, and a few golds can change the order quickly. Indonesia is 12 golds behind India in fifth place on the gold count only if Indonesia stays still, but the bronze-heavy medal count gives it room to climb. Watch the gold counts of Kazakhstan (9) and Thailand (10) in particular. They are close enough that one or two events could move Indonesia up.
