What is the Agnes Mo Nicolas Cage movie about?
Agnez Mo, the 40-year-old Indonesian singer and actress, has joined the cast of C.L.A.Y., a cyber-thriller starring Nicolas Cage and Michael Sheen. She announced it on Instagram on October 20, 2026. Writer and director Simon Afram starts filming in London in November 2026. The budget and release date have not been shared.
The story follows a brilliant computer prodigy who feels socially invisible. He finds purpose and belonging after joining an underground hacker group. Details about Agnez’s character are still secret.
Who else is in the cast?
Besides Cage and Sheen, the cast includes Jordi Mollà, Emilio Sakraya and Adrian Topol. Afram also produces alongside Georgette Turner, Edward Kahl and Reza Roohi.
Afram says Agnez fits the world of the film. Indonesian outlets quote him describing her as fearless, intense and emotionally deep.
“Honestly, this feels like a dream!” Agnez Mo, on Instagram
Why is this a big step for Agnez Mo?
Here’s the fact worth sharing: Agnez had to audition for her first Hollywood role. Despite being one of Indonesia’s biggest pop stars, she tried out for Lila Hoth in season 4 of Reacher. She said she wanted the part because of her skill, not her name or follower count.
In that series, Anggun C. Sasmi plays her on-screen mother, Amisha Hoth. Now Agnez moves from a TV series to a feature film. She will share the screen with Cage, who won the Best Actor Oscar for Leaving Las Vegas in 1995.
She also has another project in the pipeline. She will voice a character in an animated film called Groove Tails, which is due to finish animation by the end of 2026.
What happens next?
Picture London in November: wet pavement, dark by late afternoon, a soundstage humming with the fans of fake server racks. That’s where the cameras start rolling.
There is no release date yet. Agnez’s character has not been named. Until the studio shares more, the hard facts are the cast list, the plot line and the November start date.
