Timothee Chalamet has transformed into a young Willy Wonka in the debut trailer for the upcoming film "Wonka." Sporting a purple costume and the signature Willy Wonka hat, Timmy, as he is affectionately called, steps into the shoes of the beloved character. The trailer introduces Willy Wonka as a skilled chocolate maker, carefully crafting delectable treats to be shared with the character played by Calah Lane.

While Willy Wonka proves to be a master chocolatier, he struggles to sell his creations. To fulfill his dream of allowing people to experience the pleasure of his chocolate, he must open a chocolate shop. Unfortunately, his aspirations are hindered by chocolate cartels. "Mark my words. This will become the greatest chocolate shop the world has ever witnessed," declares Willy Wonka.

The iconic Oompa-Loompa figures will serve as the guardians of Willy Wonka's chocolate shop. The character of Willy Wonka was originally brought to life by Roald Dahl in his classic children's book "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." Previous portrayals of the character include Gene Wilder in the film "Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory" (1971) and Johnny Depp in "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" (2005).

Timothee Chalamet will showcase his acting prowess alongside a stellar cast including Olivia Colman, Hugh Grant, Keegan-Michael Key, Sally Hawkins, Rowan Atkinson, Jim Carter, and many more. "Wonka" is set to hit the screens in December 2023.
