RAINY SEASON COUTURE
Fashion never fizzles, it drizzles.
The rainy season seems to be staying longer this year. Although we love the rain and the abundance it brings after a long and scorching summer heat, it has been tricky to look super stylish amidst the pours and windy days, especially in a tropical country.
We have pouring rain for like 10 minutes, followed by the unannounced blistering red hot sun after — making it impossible to continue wearing thick layers of jackets. This calls for stylish, hassle-free, and lightweight water protection.
Fret not, for some high fashion brands finally launch some monsoon-appropriate fashion items if you have enough money for the honey. Slap some branded rain cover to your beloved totes, and we're ready to go.

The comfy footwear
The notorious Balenciaga x Crocs collaboration is practically the most viral 2021 fashion meme. Balenciaga's Croc Madame is the name of this pair of heeled green Croc that nobody ever thought they would need. Debuted for spring-summer 2022, the haute rubber clog, which retails for $625 (Rp 8,912,300), is the answer to all your complaints on heeled boots.
In addition to Croc Madame for summer 2022, the brand also released a steel-toe Croc, worn by Elliot Page on the red carpet of Paris Fashion Week in October 2021. The relatively tame black Crocs have no heel but are adorned with curved steel plates with Balenciaga engraved on them.
However, Daniel Lee's Puddle Boot, which he launched during his tenure as the creative director at Bottega Veneta, is a thing to go with when it's too risky for Crocs. The rubber slip-on ankle boot takes inspiration from classic Chelsea boots and is made with a lightweight, waterproof, biodegradable polymer. Having been worn by Lil Yachty, ASAP Ferg, and Justin Bieber, a pair retails for $650 (Rp 9,268,800).
