On February 11, 2022, McLaren Racing held the world premiere of the three race cars participating in the 2022 Formula 1 and E series at McLaren Technology Center in Woking, UK.

Zak Brown, the CEO of McLaren Racing, said that it was a great pleasure to see the company launch its programs in the different racing categories. This is the first time the team has launched simultaneous programs in these areas.

"I'm delighted to see us launch all three McLaren Racing programs across the Formula 1, IndyCar and Extreme E championships today," he said. "This is a first for us as a team and in the wider world of motorsport, and it's been fantastic to see how excited the fans have been as they get ready to join us on the next part of our journey."

F1, IndyCar, and Extreme E new launch
As the new era of Formula 1 begins, the team unveiled the all-new MCL36, which will be piloted by Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo. The all-new car will make its debut during the 2022 season of Formula One. It will be competing in the World Championship along with the other new entrants.

Brown also mentioned that the team's progress has been great under Andreas Seidl and that he was excited to see F1 drivers Daniel and Lando take on the challenge of driving the MCL36 this year. Daniel's victory in the Italian Grand Prix reminded McLaren how it feels like to win again.

McLaren Racing also introduced the 2022 season of the Arrow McLaren SP team, which will once again feature a race-winning line-up led by Felix Rosenqvist and Pato O'Ward. The season begins with the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg on February 27.

In the US, the team enters the 2022 season with a lot of momentum, having secured two wins and a close championship battle in the previous year. They are also excited to have Felix back for another season.

Aside from the F1 and IndyCar programs, the team also unveiled the new 2022 McLaren Extreme E livery, which features Emma Gilmour, a former World Rally Champion from New Zealand, and Tanner Foust, a four-time US rallycross champion.

Emma is the first female driver in the history of the team. The number 58 was selected in homage to the founder and pioneer of the company, Bruce McLaren. The team will debut in the new FIA World Championship title at the Desert X-Prix event in Saudi Arabia on February 19.

"We're thrilled to be launching our Extreme E team and livery ahead of the first race in just under a week, with Emma and Tanner getting behind the wheel of the No.58 McLaren car," Brown expressed his excitement.

Virtual launch on Roblox, and more
In addition, the unveiling of the new contenders and the MCL36 digital launch will also be showcased on the Roblox platform. The virtual car will allow users to experience a fully immersive recreation of the company's Technology Centre.

On the commercial front, the team enters the 2022 season with an expanded portfolio of partners, who are key to driving the team's ambitions and developing new ways of addressing social and environmental issues.

Since 2011, McLaren has been certified as carbon neutral by the Carbon Trust Standard among other F1 teams, and in 2013, it was the first team to be awarded the FIA's Environmental Award.
