As the clock ticks down to welcome the year 2025, the DKI Jakarta Transportation Department is making preparations to ensure a smooth flow of traffic during the New Year's Eve celebrations. From 7:00 PM to 01:00 AM on December 31, 2024, traffic engineering measures will be implemented at 26 strategic locations across the city.

The decision to close these road sections is aimed at facilitating the festivities scheduled to take place around Jalan Sudirman and MH Thamrin. The Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Service, Syafrin Liputo, emphasized the necessity of these measures to support the events scheduled for New Year's Eve.

"To support the activities on New Year’s Eve, 26 road sections will be closed," stated Syafrin Liputo on Wednesday, December 27. The closures will affect various key areas, and residents and commuters are advised to plan their routes accordingly.
