The Indonesian Trade Minister, Zulkifli Hasan, inaugurated the Jakarta Fashion Week (JFW) 2023 on Monday, October 24th, in Jakarta. In his opening speech, Minister Hasan emphasized the importance of JFW for the growth of the Indonesian fashion industry and its potential impact on the global market.

"The Indonesian government is committed to supporting and facilitating the development of the fashion industry in the nation," said Minister Hasan. "We believe that the Indonesian fashion industry has the potential to conquer the global market, given its abundant resources and exceptional talents."

Minister Hasan also revealed that the government, particularly the Ministry of Trade, is continuously supporting all industry players to expand their reach and break into international markets.

During the event, Minister Hasan was accompanied by the Director-General of National Export Development, Didi Sumedi, and the Director of Export Development of Creative Services and Products, Miftah Farid. Also present at the event was Svida Alisjahbana, Chairman of Jakarta Fashion Week.

The JFW 2023 serves as a significant platform for Indonesian designers and fashion enthusiasts to showcase their talents and contribute to the nation's fashion industry.
