IHG Hotels & Resorts Expands in Indonesia: New Hotels and Brands Offer Immersive Cultural and Adventure Experiences
Indonesia's breathtaking beauty and vibrant culture continue to captivate travelers from around the globe. Now, IHG Hotels & Resorts, the world's leading hotel company with over 6,000 destinations under 19 brands, is set to enhance the country's allure with an exciting new collection of hotels. This initiative aims to deepen cultural appreciation, foster emotional connections, and broaden the nation's appeal to a diverse range of travelers.
Recent trends indicate that modern travelers are increasingly seeking immersive experiences that connect them with local neighborhoods and authentic stories. According to a recent survey by IHG Hotels & Resorts, guests are prioritizing hotels that facilitate a deeper engagement with their surroundings, suggesting that hotels play a crucial role in inspiring exploration.
To meet this demand, IHG is introducing several new brands and properties in Indonesia. Among the highlights is the debut of Regent Hotels & Resorts in Indonesia, with the highly anticipated Regent Bali Canggu set to open in late 2024. This luxurious all-suite and villa retreat will blend Balinese tradition with modern opulence, featuring a Regent Spa, fitness studio, and hydrotherapy pool, all nestled amidst Canggu's picturesque beaches and water temples.
In the vibrant area of Seminyak, voco Bali Seminyak will open its doors in Q3 2024. This will be IHG’s first voco property in Indonesia, offering thoughtful hospitality with 162 rooms, a restaurant, bar, health club, and pool. The property promises a refined yet relaxed atmosphere, just steps away from chic shops and sandy beaches.
On the island's east coast, Rumah Luwih Bali, part of the Vignette Collection, will rebrand in Q4 2024. This beachfront resort, designed in the style of a classical colonial mansion, features 72 rooms with stunning views of the shoreline and rice paddies, inviting guests to explore Gianyar’s beauty.
Further enhancing Bali’s hospitality scene, the Holiday Inn Express Bali Sunset Road will open in Q3 2024. Located just 12 minutes from Ngurah Rai International Airport, this contemporary hotel offers a convenient base with amenities such as a complimentary breakfast, health club, swimming pool, and meeting rooms.
Beyond Bali, the Riau Islands beckon adventure seekers. Hotel Indigo Bintan Lagoi Beach, opening in Q4 2024, will be a lifestyle boutique hotel highlighting the region’s rich heritage. Guests can enjoy a trendy beach club, an infinity pool, local flavors at the beachfront restaurant, and unwind at the tiki or satay bar. The Holiday Inn Resort Bintan Lagoi Beach, also opening in Q4 2024, will feature 258 rooms, including family-friendly options, a kids' club, and various water sports activities.
In Bandung, West Java, Hotel Indigo Bandung Dago Pakar is now open, capturing the city’s spirit with a design influenced by local traditions and folklore. The hotel offers local coffee, authentic delicacies, two infinity pools, and a rooftop bar with stunning city views.
Lastly, in Lampung, Sumatra, the Holiday Inn Lampung Bukit Randu is now welcoming guests. This hotel provides international standards of hospitality with the brand’s signature Kids Stay and Eat Free program, making it a perfect choice for family adventures in the gateway to Sumatra’s wild landscapes.
With these new additions, IHG Hotels & Resorts is not only expanding its footprint across Indonesia but also enriching the travel experience by seamlessly blending world-class hospitality with authentic cultural elements.
