CELEBRATING THE 212TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE INDEPENDENCE OF MEXICO
The celebration of the 212th Anniversary of the Independence of Mexico in Jakarta was a joyful event with delicious Mexican dishes, drinks, folklore dances and beautiful Mexican music.
Mexico and Indonesia have deep and solid relations. Members of the Mexican community in Indonesia with their Mexican friends in Indonesia celebrated the 212th Anniversary of the Independence of Mexico on September 15, 2022, at the residence of the Embassy of Mexico in Jakarta.
The Ambassador of Mexico to Indonesia and Timor-Leste, Armando G. Alvarez, and Mrs. Gladys Tenorio, also invited Ms. Sari Kusumaningrum, the owner of The S Media, to the event. Indonesian Minister of Communications and Information, Johnny Gerard Plate, was the main guest at this joyous celebration.
Mexico and Indonesia established diplomatic relations in 1953. Since then, the friendship between the two countries has grown rapidly. Next year, the two countries will celebrate 70 years of diplomatic relations on a large scale.
