Calvin Verdonk, a footballer of Dutch descent, has officially become a citizen of Indonesia. A snapshot capturing the solemn oath-taking ceremony of Verdonk has been circulating widely on social media platforms.

The process seemed swift, considering that Calvin Verdonk had just undergone a meeting at the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) on Monday afternoon (3/6/2024).

Following his attainment of Indonesian citizenship, Verdonk is yet to undergo another significant process - the transition of federations from KNVB to PSSI (Indonesian Football Association).
