What Is the Audi Nuvolari?

The Audi Nuvolari is a limited-production hybrid supercar that generates 1,001 PS and a top speed above 350 km/h, making it the fastest and most powerful production Audi in the company's history. It had its world premiere in Antibes, France, on June 4, 2026, just ahead of the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix, and only 499 units will ever be built. Presales open in Europe in Q4 2026, with first deliveries scheduled for Q1 2027.

Underneath the carbon-fiber body sits a new generation of the Audi Space Frame, paired with a hybrid powertrain built around motorsport-derived aerodynamics. This isn't a one-off concept car dressed up for a stage  it's the first production Audi to debut the brand's new design language, one built on restraint and clarity rather than 

sharp angles for shock value. That design approach already earned Nuvolari the "Design of the Year" title at the UK's CAR Genius Awards.

Why Did Formula 1 Drivers Test it?

Here's the detail that makes Nuvolari more than a marketing exercise: Audi's own F1 drivers, Gabriel Bortoleto and Nico Hülkenberg, were brought in during the final testing phase. Bortoleto pushed the car at high speed at the Nardò Technical Center in Italy, while Hülkenberg put it through its paces at the Neustadt an der Donau test track in Germany.

The development route itself reads like a European road trip for engineers: concept work in Ingolstadt, cold-weather testing in Lapland, lightweight construction in Neckarsulm, wind tunnel sessions back in Ingolstadt, suspension tuning in southern Spain, and finally high-speed validation at Nardò.

How Much Does the Audi Nuvolari Cost?

Audi has not published pricing at this stage. Presales begin in Europe in Q4 2026, and given the car's positioning as a halo supercar limited to 499 units, expect a price well above Audi's regular lineup. First deliveries are set for Q1 2027.

What Does This Mean for Audi Buyers in Indonesia?

You won't be buying a Nuvolari at a dealership in Jakarta anytime soon  but its influence already is.
