In 2021, Reebok and Maison Margiela kept their partnership rolling along with the Tabi-toed version of the Classic Leather. The duo released a high-top version of the Classic Leather last year. The high-top is a hybrid of the former's deconstructed aesthetics and gladiator-inspired designs.

John Galliano's concept of deconstructing a product's core structure and presenting a new framework for a design is what inspired this iteration of the Tabi-toed footwear. The four-inch heels are equipped with a collar and exposed midfoot, while the other pieces are done in rich leather.

The collection's boldest style is the Bianchetto, a black base with white details that will fade with wear. There are also four different color schemes, each of which has been used simultaneously in the past.

In order to kick off 2022, the duo has another collaboration. The latest collaboration is the Tabi-toed Low, released on January 28. The Tabi-toed Low is a low-top version of the gladiator-inspired design Classic Leather Tabi High.

The latest iteration of the Margiela x Reebok Classic Leather runner reinterprets the original model released by Reebok in 1983. Through the brand's décortiqué technique, the shoe's core structure was also reconstructed.

The Margiela x Reebok Classic Leather Tabi Décortiqué Low is a limited-edition shoe with a split-toe construction inspired by the brand's signature Tabi shoe.

The low-top trainer is available in various colors, including white, black, and red. It's also in the brand's signature bichetto technique, which deliberately chips with wear — it retails at $650 (Rp 9.3 million).

In March 2021, the two companies collaborated on the $300 (Rp 4.3 million) Club C style, inspired by the 1996 tromp l'oeil technique. In the following month, the futuristic Tabi Instapump Fury was released. It featured a leather low-top with a chunky sole and Reebok's signature Pump Technology.

Rebook's other collaborations

Reebok has been busy collaborating with other creative industry practitioners such as BEAMS, Billionaire Boys Club, and Brain Dead in releasing iconic shoes.

Japanese retailer BEAMS reimagined the Club C into a lace-less mule. The shoe is finished in a simple all-white colorway with Cold Grey accents.

Continuing their partnership, Billionaire Boys Club and Reebok have come together to create a unique take on the Instapump Fury BOOST. The shoe is inspired by nature and features a mesh upper with reflective 3M.

Brain Dead x Reebok Zig Kinetica II sneaker is a collaboration that pays homage to the Japanese toy industry. The shoes feature psychedelic graphics, an exclusive dual-branded logo, and a unique two-toned midsole.
