The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf), in collaboration with Voice Institute Indonesia and Radio Sonora, has launched the Wonder Voice Over Camp as a follow-up program to the Wonder Voice of Indonesia 2023 series of events.

Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno stated in Jakarta on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, that the purpose of Wonder Voice of Indonesia 2023 is to invite and reintroduce the beauty of tourism and cultural diversity found throughout Indonesia through voice-over.

"The overwhelming enthusiasm of the applicants for Wonder Voice of Indonesia shows how awareness about voice-over has significantly grown compared to previous years. Essentially, the development of voice-over in Indonesia offers job opportunities for professional voice talents to grow and advance their careers," said Minister Sandiaga Uno.

The Wonder Voice of Indonesia 2023 event series commenced with the Wonder Voice Over Challenge, which took place from May 2 to May 22, 2023. This stage attracted 1,280 participants, and out of these, the top 30 were selected to proceed to the next stage called Wonder Voice From Home, an online voice-over and voice-acting workshop.

During this stage, the top 30 participants were further selected through a live audition mechanism, resulting in the final 10 contestants who will participate in the ultimate program, the Wonder Voice Over Camp. This camp will be held offline, allowing participants to engage in hands-on practice at two audio production studios, Spacebar Audio Production and Cut2Cut Audio Productions. Additionally, the participants will have the opportunity to record for an audio drama titled "Kanaya's Journey," consisting of 10 episodes themed around 5 Super Priority Destinations. The audio drama will be broadcasted across Radio Sonora's network and other media partners.

Meanwhile, Iman Santosa, Director of Applications, Games, Television, and Radio at the Deputy of Digital Economy and Creative Products of Kemenparekraf, explained that the Wonder Voice Over Camp program took place from June 9 to June 11, 2023. The first camp was held at Spacebar Audio Production and was inaugurated virtually by Minister Sandiaga Uno.

"Unlike previous years, participants of Wonder Voice of Indonesia 2023 were given the freedom to promote tourism and the creative economy in their respective regions through their own creative works, not limited to predefined themes," he said.
