Hailing from the vibrant city of Barcelona, Spain, Alex Gares is no stranger to the world of hospitality, particularly within the esteemed Marriott International family. His journey with Marriott began at the idyllic Phulay Bay, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Krabi, Thailand, where he showcased his culinary prowess as Executive Chef/F&B Director in 2015. This initial step marked the beginning of a remarkable career that would see him rise through the ranks.

With a strong commitment to his craft and a passion for perfection, Alex moved on to assume the role of EAM, Food & Beverage at The Ritz-Carlton Koh Samui in late October 2016. His reputation for excellence extended to the stunning W Hotel Maldives, where he spent nearly a year, crafting unforgettable experiences for guests.

A pivotal chapter in Alex's journey led him to Mandapa, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Ubud, where he continued to demonstrate his leadership and operational prowess. During his tenure, he also lent his expertise to support the successful openings of luxury properties such as Mandapa, a Ritz Carlton Reserve, Ubud, Bali in 2015, and The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi in Malaysia in 2017, solidifying his reputation as a driving force behind successful launches.

Before embarking on his remarkable journey with Marriott International, Alex had left an indelible mark at The Four Seasons, Koh Samui Thailand, where he held the position of Executive Chef for four years. His culinary journey then took him to Pace Gastro, a culinary venture he co-founded as Partner and Gastronomic Director in Barcelona, Spain, before answering the call to lead at Renaissance Bali Nusa Dua Resort.

Alex Gares brings a wealth of experience in steering operations with finesse. His extensive background, marked by his association with world-class resorts and luxury hotel operations, positions him as a key asset to the Renaissance Bali Nusa Dua Resort team. Together with his dynamic team, Alex is poised to steer the resort to even greater heights, delivering exceptional experiences that redefine hospitality.
