The Lanesborough, one of London's most prestigious establishments, is proud to introduce its newest offering, The Wine Cellar at The Lanesborough. This immersive wine and dining experience, set to launch in September 2023, promises to be an extraordinary journey for wine enthusiasts and culinary aficionados alike. Located in the historic wine cellar of Lanesborough House, this unique venue sets the stage for intimate private dining, tutored wine tastings, canapé and wine pairings, and small receptions.

At the helm of this remarkable venture is The Lanesborough's Head Sommelier, Raffaele Leonardo Silvestre, and a team of wine experts ready to guide guests through every facet of their wine exploration. The dedicated private dining team is poised to curate an unforgettable and elegant event. The extensive wine list boasts a selection of exceptional vintages, including names like Petrus, Sassicaia, and Château Latour.

Complementing the exquisite wines is a new private dining menu crafted by Executive Chef Shay Cooper, a celebrated figure in London's culinary scene. Guests can indulge in modern British signature dishes, such as Coronation crab, Roast Orkney scallop, Hereford beef tartare, Cotswold duck, followed by delectable mains like Beef Wellington, Lobster thermidor, Cornish turbot, Herdwick lamb rack, and Truffle risotto. The culinary journey culminates with decadent desserts, including Raspberry pistachio frangipane tart, Millionaire shortbread, Madagascan vanilla mille-feuille, and Manjari chocolate delice.

Shay Cooper, renowned for earning a Michelin star at various establishments throughout his career, leads the culinary direction at The Lanesborough. His innovative take on traditional British cooking has garnered acclaim from critics and diners alike.

In addition to its private dining experiences, The Wine Cellar at The Lanesborough will host a series of intimate ticketed tutored wine dinners. The inaugural event, in partnership with Dom Pérignon Champagne on October 20, 2023, promises an evening of culinary delight. Guests will enjoy a sumptuous canapé reception followed by a four-course dinner prepared by Executive Chef Shay Cooper, complemented by five paired vintage glasses of Dom Pérignon Champagne. Dom Pérignon ambassador, William Sharpley, will guide guests through a detailed exploration of each vintage.

After the sumptuous dinner, guests are invited to retire to the Garden Room, where they can savor rare Cognacs dating back to 1770 from The Lanesborough Paradis, the hotel's liquid library. The venue also offers an impressive selection of cigars for those looking to continue their evening in refined luxury.
